We stayed here for 8 nights because we really wanted to hike as many trails as possible. The campground was busy and crowded. While most of the people were very friendly, the site next to ours had a fire pit nearly under our slide out. Park staff were friendly but not overly helpful on places to shop or dine. The beach was really cool. Gee you are in Cape Breton so you just deal with a crowded, noisy campground.
We stayed here 2 nights prior to our reservations at Ingonish on the Cabot Trail, and liked it so much we came back afterwords for 4 nights. The staff our friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept. The Wi-Fi is the best we have had in 3 months of traveling the maritimes. We did laundry, enjoyed the pool and our dog really enjoyed swimming in the lake. While no park is perfect, these folks go out of their way to make you feel at home. When the owners answer the phone and have a rig just down the way, you know the place will be run correctly. We recommend this campground and will return.
