We thought we had a water front site only to discover that it was on a cliff. We were in the tree tops again! Site was fairly level with plenty of room. We had water and electricity. It was a busy weekend and there were lots of people and boats. No good for fishing, and we prefer a view of the water. Anything with a view did not have water available. I guess we could have filled up and stayed on one, but we decided to stay on our reserved site. Lots of swimming and boating. Not much bank fishing. I don't think it will be a park that we will return to, but it was a busy park with lots for a family to do.
Great clean well maintained park, the best RV spots for water access are in the B side and the sites are 35,36 and 37. They are by the boat ramp. We stayed in A 10 which backed in by the Yacht club. The view was somewhat blocked but it did not bother us, so I will know next trip to stay on the B side just for the view. The restrooms and showers were top notch with hot water in the showers. The host at the park were very helpful and kept the park free of trash and the bath houses clean. We paid $13.50 with old fart discount. We recommend this park if you are passing through or looking for a vacation spot.
Great clean park. Several water front and water view sites. Clean restrooms and showers. Bank fishing OK but a boat would be better; we caught fish using minnows. The store has boat rentals and canoe rentals along with water bike rentals. The store was open all day from 6 to 6. Bank fishing from the spillway was fun to watch as folks snagged catfish up to 10 pounds using big triple hooks and 2 oz weights. We will be back.
The pad sites are very unlevel but can be worked around. The park has very few water or water view sites available. We unhooked and drove around and found better sites available but when we went to ask to be swapped we were told no. If you like to be in the woods and not see the lake then this is the place for you. The bath houses are fantastic and clean. As for fishing if you are boatless, there are several areas to bank fish from if you are able to walk on rocks. Otherwise there is no fishing pier or other structure to use from shore. If you like golf then by all means this is your happy spot. I was told if I wanted one of the primo spots that I would have to book at least 6 to 12 months in advance otherwise it is in the woods for you. I will come back but, I am better prepared because I wrote down the best sites for my next stay.
