DON'T STAY HERE!! I'm not sure which bothered me more, the fact that there are two registered sex offenders living amongst the permanent residents or the meth freak who almost ran me over in the driveway and then threatened to beat me because he didn't like the way I looked at him! I am serious, both of these things are absolutely true. By the way, when I say permanent residents, I mean it. Several of their RV's had moss and mold growing on them and appeared to be disintegrating. The only things this park has going for it is a good central location and two nice staffers. I would rate this a zero if this site would let me. I will NEVER stay here again.
This KOA is in a good location and the check in staff was very friendly and efficient. The parks utilities work well and they have a nice fenced dog area. This park was fine for our overnight stay but it could definitely use a face lift. The gravel roads and pads along with the sparse grass areas and rundown office are in definite need of modernizing. Again, the staff was very nice.
The nightly rate reflects a premium site w/ patio, BBQ and nice patio furniture. This is a very nice park. It is easy to get in and out of, the utilities work very well and they have lots of amenities such as pool, hot tub, restaurant, ice cream shop, etc. A couple of areas that could use a little improvement are; it would be nice to see the roads paved (it was very dusty) and it would be nice to have someone escort you to your site since this is a very large park. The staff at the evening BBQ were very nice, the rest of the staff not so much. They could definitely improve their interpersonal skills a bit.
This is a nice clean park with paved roads, cement curbs and a combination of concrete and gravel sites, all of which are nice and level. The lady who handled my check in was very pleasant. The gentleman who led me to my space really went the extra mile by guiding me into a rather tight spot and then he came back and very neatly pruned a tree so as to not to interfere with my slide. This was especially noteworthy given the fact that it was 99 degrees out at the time he did it. We were just passing through, but we would definitely stay here again.
The young lady who handled my check in was very friendly and very informative. The park's brochure was very well done and contained a lot of good information. With the exception of the store which was very well stocked, I thought the park was in substandard condition. The roads aren't very good and the space we were put in wasn't even close to level. The park could really use a complete overhaul to make it more inviting.
This is a very nice privately owned park. It is located less than 5 minutes from Fort Bragg and about 15 minutes from Mendocino. Most spaces are of ample size and there are several "twin" spaces in case there is more than one rig in your party. All hookups were in good working order. We would have rated the park higher except for their reservations process. We had to call to make the reservation and then mail them a check, rather than booking on line with a credit card. Also, friends of ours booked their favorite site a year ago and didn't get the site they asked for when they arrived.
The park has all paved roads with very level gravel spaces. Each space has a concrete patio and a picnic table. The utilities all worked well. If you stay here ask for a space on the north side of the park. The south side is mostly long term residents and some of the sites are pretty trashy. The one complaint I have about this park is the office hours. They are only open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. If you get a reasonable start on tourist activities for the day and don't get back real early you never have a chance to interact with the staff.
This is a very good park. The check in staff was very pleasant and the young man who escorted us to our space was very friendly and very knowledgeable of local activities. The roads and pads are all gravel but these were the most level spaces I have seen anywhere!! This park has lots of lawn with fire rings and picnic tables at every space. It is very pet friendly with several on leash areas as well as an off leash "Kamp K-9" area. We also had access to a very nice walking trail along a levy behind the park. We would definitely stay here again.
This park is certainly nothing fancy. Gravel roads and pads and the pads were not real level. The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant, however. We have stayed here before and for a one night stop over we will probably stay here again. If we were planning on exploring the area I think we would look for another park.
Very nice park. It was a little noisy during the day because they are making tons of improvements. They have teepees, luxury tents, a zip line, kids play areas and they will be adding a pool. When the construction is done this will be a great park. There was a downside to our stay. The lady in the front office was totally incompetent. We had asked for a patio site and she didn't assign us to one even though several were available. Once we fixed that problem she gave me multiple, confusing directions on how to get to the site. Then, due to the fact we extended our stay we had to change sites part way through. When I contacted her, she told me to pick which site I wanted. I chose the site and she said it was mine. The next day she changed her mind and assigned me to another site. The next day when we were supposed to move, she again assigned us to another site. Get a grip lady, how hard is it to figure out where to put us.
This is a very nice urban park. The check in staff was very friendly and an employee escorted us to our site and explained all the hook ups. The roads are all paved and the pads are concrete. The pads are so level that I thought my auto levelers were broken when I turned them on. The dog run area is very nice. This is a very quiet park with virtually no traffic noise. It is close to lots of shopping and dining spots. When you're here you have got to wander through Scheel's Sporting goods, billed as the largest sporting goods store in the country.
This was a good stop over park. The utilities all worked well. The only site issue is ours wasn't real level. The dog run was very good. A previous reviewer complained about the number of full timers in the park. There were quite a few in our row but they were quiet and their sites were well kept. The staff was very friendly and offered lots of tips on local dining and such. The store was very neat, clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
If your only concern is that the hook ups work, this park is a good spot. The sites are gravel and very unlevel. There is a lot of junk such as old mobile homes, vehicles, etc., around. The owner appears to be working very slowly on cleaning the place up but has a long way to go. If you simply want a place to park for the night, great. If you are looking to stay for a while, I would find another park.
Beautiful grounds and excellent staff to start with. The park has activities scheduled every evening. The park is very neat and well maintained. We had a back in spot next to the river which was great. The roads are all paved and most of the spaces are concrete. The ones that are not are very well done gravel spaces. The hook ups work well and are placed appropriately. The Wi-Fi works very well and is free. Cell phone coverage is very spotty here, but hey, you're on vacation. We will definitely stay here again.
This park is adequate. The sites have concrete pads and the roads are paved but very tight. The park is so tight that if you have a towed, you have to unhook outside the park. There are two off leash dog pens but they are just gravel. Upon check in the staffer was overly adamant about the fact that dogs were not to go to the bathroom anywhere but the pens, even if you cleaned up after them. On a bright note, we found a county dog park about a mile away that was the best I've ever seen. If coming back to the Las Vegas area, I doubt I would stay here again
This park is conveniently located right off of Hwy 58. Check in was very quick and easy. The park is very neat and clean with paved roads and concrete pads. I used the 50 amp hook ups and the water and both worked well. The park isn't in an area that appears to have a lot going on, but if you are looking for one night stop over spot I would highly recommend this place. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a very good park. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and the store was well stocked. The location is close to the freeway but was not very noisy during the night. The train track north of the park was not a noise issue. The park was easy to get to but is located a fair distance from the main part of town.
Overall this was a good park. The strong points, excellent pet areas and nicely landscaped. On the down side, they mix us short term folks with the long time residents, and the junk cars and trucks sitting across from my parking space was a bit much. The attempt to hide it with trees didn't work so well and I would strongly recommend a fence.
This is the second time we have stayed here. We will stay here every time we come to town to visit family. The park is very neat, clean, and modern. Most roads are paved and all sites have full hookups and lots of lawn and trees. The check-in staff was very friendly and efficient. Even though the park is right next to a freeway the noise is not a problem. It is located very near to the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, which is a must see attraction. Additionally it is conveniently located to downtown OK City.
We have stayed here before and will stay here again. The check in staff was very friendly and informative. After check in a staffer escorted us to our large pull through space and even offered to help me hook up. This park is very near the Amarillo airport but there is virtually no air traffic after nightfall. There is a railroad track nearby but it is far enough away that it not a big deal. The big tourist draw around here is the Big Texan Steakhouse. The steakhouse will send their free limo to your space to pick you up for dinner, cool.
This is a very neat clean park. We were put in the "new big rig area." These sites were all cement parking with a small patio and decorative lava rock. The hook ups all worked very well and were very well placed. The sign in staff was very friendly and a staffer escorted us to our site and made sure we had everything we needed. Although the park is a ways out of town, it was a straight shot down the hill to Old Town and only took about 10 minutes to get here. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area.
This is a very basic park, no landscaping, pool, or other amenities. That being said, all hook ups functioned well and the staff member who signed us in was very pleasant. Even though the park is right on US 95, it is quiet and it is very convenient spot to stop on your way north or south between Reno and Vegas. I would stay here again.
The park itself is very well laid out and is very neat and clean with good hook ups. The downside is the owner. On check in he couldn't find my reservation. When I told him I made it online the night before he launched into a dissertation about his displeasure with the company that handles the online reservations, like it was some how my problem. Also, when asked for information about local RV supply stores he was clueless.
Overall the park was in very good condition. Activities included outdoor movies, mini-golf, swimming pool and kids activities. The on site grill menu looked good though we didn't eat there. Staff was very friendly. The only complaint was at check in when the clerk couldn't figure out how to give me a special discount that she admitted I was entitled to. Previous guests mentioned a long walk to the lake. The walk was about one half mile, didn't seem so bad.
Freeway access was good, check in went smoothly and all utilities worked well. This is not a real destination park, but it was a great spot to stop for the night. There is a free shuttle bus that runs to the casino and to Cabela's about every 15 minutes.
The office and laundry buildings look brand new as does the fencing. The check in staff was very pleasant and escorted us to our site. The roads and pads are all gravel and the sites are pretty level. We only used electrical hook ups and cable TV, both worked very well. We would certainly stay here the next time we pass through.
It's rather "rustic" by KOA standards. It looked like they may have just opened for the season, pool was empty, landscaping in poor condition. The check in staff was very friendly. This is perhaps the best stocked KOA store I have every seen.
The check in staff was very friendly and provided very good suggestions for local sight seeing. We had a very level gravel space with a large grass area with picnic table and fire pit. The dog run, duck pond and swimming pond were wonderful. We only stopped off for the night on our way elsewhere, but will certainly stay here again in the future. The only reason we didn't give it a 10 was because of the freeway noise.
This was a great park. Most pads are concrete and streets are paved. The pads and streets that were gravel are scheduled for paving this year. All utilities worked well. The club house and laundry facilities was very nice and well maintained. We will certainly stay here again.
The highlight of this park was the fenced lawn area for off leash dog play as well as two other fenced dirt areas for dogs to do their business. Overall the park was mediocre at best with a lot of long term residents with cluttered spaces and a couple of dozen spaces used as long term RV storage Access from I-40 was fairly easy. I would recommend this park for a quick stop over but certainly not as a destination park.
Park looks brand new, everything is very neat, clean, and well maintained. It is a very short walk to the quaint shops and restaurants along old Route 66 in downtown Williams. The on site kennel was great for boarding our dogs while we went to the Grand Canyon. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only down side for pet owners is there is no fenced area to let your dog run.
This park is fine if you're just passing through. The spaces are gravel and very large, in fact we were able to open all four slides and still had enough room to park our Jeep beside our motorhome. We only used electrical hookups and they worked fine. Check in staff was friendly. The dog run area is really just open desert, but our two dogs loved it! Would certainly stay here if passing through the area again.
It is a good location, with easy access on and off of I-5. We rolled in after the office closed and did a self-check in. The map was easy to follow. All sites were cement and all roads are paved. The utilities functioned well. It is a great spot for a one night stay along your route.
We stayed here "pre-season" and were very impressed with the place. As mentioned in other reviews the full hook up pull-through sites were very tight. However all amenities worked as advertised. The swimming pool was excellent. I would like to see a decent dog run area, that's about the only thing this place is missing. Its location directly across the road from a State Beach is excellent.
This is one of the better KOA sites we have stayed at. We stayed in a new section that had water and 50 amp service but no sewer. The roads throughout the camp are paved and most of the spaces are graveled. The staff was very friendly and informative. The site is close to several local attractions and there is a free shuttle service to the nearby Red Hawk Casino. Although the campground is right next to the freeway it is not particularly noisy. We come to this area frequently and will definitely stay here again.
