We camped here in a travel trailer. The park appears to be under different management since we camped here several years ago and has degraded. They no longer take credit cards. At first glance the restrooms look clean and OK. But when you actually use them you find the toilet stalls are almost totally dark, the inside of the shower curtains have black mold on them and lights are inadequate. The Wi-Fi is non existent.
Nice but very small state park. Only about four sites had full hook-ups. Very quiet. Office very friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night while passing through. Only one TV station could be received part time. We would stay here again if passing through.
One of the better parks in the area. Great WI-FI. Grounds need more ongoing maintenance. While we were there a 5 inch overnight rain caused flooding in the lower portion of the campground damaging several trailers and motorhomes. We were lucky. I think had the drainage pipes been clear of leaves and brush there would have been little or no flooding. We would stay here again. The rate is based on the monthly charge.
Rate based on monthly rate. This campground might have been nice a long time ago but has been let run down. Many permanent trashy trailers. Sights without pads are a sandy mess. The lone kid groundskeeper used a weed eater to put a hole in my sewer drain hose. The dock is in bad repair. Poor Verizon reception. We will not stay here again.
This campground demonstrates how spending large sums of money handled by state employees will lead to no good. This campground was recently upgraded with asphalt pads, roads, restrooms, etc. but 90 percent of the sights are angled the wrong direction (riders side backing). Arrived at the check in station and the only visible sign for RV parking was a quarter mile away. Later saw tiny lettering on the curb next to the building for RV check in. WI-FI never worked but probably only needed resetting. Desk said Saturday they had called for WI-FI repair on Tuesday. Apparently no follow up. Had a large nail run in my trailer tire at the RV parking area. Went to use the laundry and found a sign on the door that it is under repair. No prior notice. Absolutely no TV reception. Could have been a great campground but poorly run. We will not return.
The price reflects the monthly rate. We stayed at this campground two months this winter and two months last. The campground has become very noisy due to motorcycles. The WIFI either doesn't work or is very slow. I had just finished waxing my truck when a grounds keeper used a leaf blower to blow granite dust all over it. I will not stay here again.
The price reflects the weekly rate. The campground is somewhat rustic with approximately 50 permanent RVs. The sites are widely spaced but have limited access due to the trees. All sites and roads are gravel. The Wi-Fi is terrible and there is no Verizon Cellular access. We won't stay there again.
Quiet little park during the winter but hear it is rowdy during the tubing season on the river. Could use a nice laundry and faster Wi-Fi. Price reflects monthly rate. We will probably stay here again early next year while visiting family.
The price reflects a Good Sam discount. The rate is a little more than I like to pay but it is near Dallas. The Wi-Fi is great. All roads and sites are gravel. People friendly. The TV is not digital and some channels are not perfectly clear. We would stay here again.
This was the second time we stayed at this park. The price reflects Good Sam and Lady Luck member discounts. Restrooms clean, park clean, security great and check in person friendly. The only problem faced was not with the campground but with the Casino Restaurants. Both last year and this year the service in the restaurant was poor.
Friendly helpful staff. We were only one of three campers here during our two-day stay. The restrooms were locked so they were not usable. All sites were level with easy access. I would stay here again. Take the time to utilize the park facilities and visit the Light Crust Doughboys museum in the park office.
The staff was friendly at check-in. Most sites seem to be permanent. The rate reflects the Good Sam discount. Site patio and table were filthy with tree trash and bird droppings. WI-FI worked only about 10 percent of the time. Laundry and bathrooms were clean. Permanent neighbor said park had new owner about a year ago and wasn't customer oriented. Noticed an empty site with a water leak and pool of water at check-in. About a week later the water was shut off during a shower. Office tried to justify the lack of notice for the shutoff by saying a notice was placed on the bulletin board. No attempt of an apology. I will not again stay at this campground.
