This is a very nice Beach front RV resort. We stayed in a lake front site, ocean block. Short walk to beach and pool. Lazy river and pool very much fun for the kids. The have a very nice ice cream bar. No Ants seen anywhere as previously mentioned in other reviews. We will camp here again.
Stay here to attend Carowinds Amusement Park. Very out dated, they must have used their budget on all the cool rides. Grass not cut, water is nasty: not for human consumption. My two Pugs refused to drink it also. There is no cable TV so bring your satellite dish. The front desk lady had a Yankee Attitude. For the price, the only thing this park has going for it was proximity to Carowinds. There was a shuttle bus with a friendly driver.
Stayed here for thanksgiving holiday. Sites are narrow, but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good starting point for adventures to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The traffic to get through Pigeon forge was very busy. It took over and hour to go seven miles. Found some back roads from the lady at the office. But i wont tell you so the next time we come there they are not back up. Nice clean sites.
Came to Granite Hill for a family reunion/Halloween get together. We traveled all the way from SC. for a weekend of tricks and treats. The campground is very nice. Office staff friendly and very informative. They escorted us to our site and offered their help. The staff we rate a 10. The activities for the children are a 10. The site we were in was OK, uneven and small, however there was a large field behind us. We took a tour of the battlefield and really enjoyed it. We had a blast and plan on traveling those 532 miles again next year!
We spent a long weekend at this campground. The campground is located Ocean Front and Sound Front. Very well taken care of, the grounds were well manicured and the pool and hot tub are clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Each site has a concrete pad, this help keep sand out of your RV. Excellent location on the OBX. Lots to do, but yet had plenty of relax time. I would camp here again.
We spent a lovely weekend at the waterfront side of the park. We stayed in site # 72. The site was large and several yards from the beach access. The beach area was not crowded and had sea shells. The park rangers patrol the area every hour. Very pleasant stay.
Very new RV resort that is Big-Rig friendly with water view sites. This is a very family friendly resort. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The dad was able to use the boat ramp and go fishing. The mom enjoyed the break from the kids and husband. Very relaxing and we enjoyed the amenities. WiFi was available with a strong signal. There is no cable TV, and no local channels.
They have a very nice pool and lazy river. 99% of the sites are grass. So if it rains, there will be mud and sand. The sites are very nice size and all of them have a wooden shelter. The staff was very friendly and professional. The campground is very close to all the restaurants. I recommend Murrells Inlet for dinner and Suck, Bang, Blowe Bar for some action. I give this campground only a seven because of all the Steeler Fans there.
We camped here labor day weekend. This campground has everything!!! The kids did not know what to do first, the pools were very clean as was the beach. This campground can be very busy at times. The CG is centrally located within a short drive to every kind of food a person could want. The only problem we would be concerned with is the drunk teenagers on the golf cart parade. It starts at 6 pm and goes to 11:00pm. Loud music and fast golf carts driven crazy!! Security does shut it down at 10:59pm on the dot. We give it a 9.
This is a wonderful park, if you want to relax. This is the campground that your father liked with surf fishing, beach swimming, bike riding and wildlife. Did I mention bugs? Bugs bugs bugs: bring bug spray. There are wild deer that eat out of your hand. My five-year-old wanted to take them home. The campground roads were very tight for our 38 foot rig. There are some huge sites and very small sites: the best site is #37. You can buy fresh shrimp off the boat .5 miles away. Nothing to do but enjoy nature!
This is a excellent campground close to Myrtle Beach. No crowd or late night teenagers driving golf carts here. Very quaint and reasonable. Bring bug spray and a beach towel and enjoy the nature. This is the campground your father would like.
