Easy on and off I-80 so great for anover night. Our rate reflects a Passport America discount. The road up to our site was a little steep but not a problem. Our site (66) is great--almost level side to side. Some of the pull-throughs are not very level front to back. No noise from the highway. The owners were very nice. We would absolutely stay here again. Would recommend reservations if during Penn State football season
Over all this is a good campground if you are interested in spending time in the Delaware Gap rec area. Even though it is a concessionaire CG they honor the America the Beautiful pass which is reflected in our rate. This is a very wooded site. Internet service required using our antenna. Only tent camping is on the river. Now for the not so good. The restrooms are old and need a major cleaning & paint job. The roads are very narrow with lots of trees. The power boxes are so far forward the we had to use 30amps because our 50amp cord could not reach. It is very busy on the weekends but during the week it was almost empty. We would stay here again if in the area
This is a jewel of a spot. The spaces are huge, very grassy and shaded. There are seasonal spots but they are very well kept and the people are super friendly. Be forewarned the the road approaching is rather steep and ask the office for directions when leaving as you want to leave a different way. We would return here again and again. Don't miss a tour of Hope Cemetery east of Barre. It is like walking in a statue garden.
Staff was friendly and overall the campground is very clean. However our site was just strange. The pull-throughs for fifth wheels are on a tiered area and are rather short. They are also narrow if you have more than 2 slides. Our site was at the very top, on curve and faced the hot sun. The fire ring was so close that with an awning out a fire was unsafe. They were trying to make the site wider but even that will not help much. The entrance road is narrow and two vehicles cannot pass so be prepared to back up if you meet someone.
This park is a jewel. We spent several days while touring the Bennington area. Its so quiet you can here the breeze in the trees. The owners are superb and so friendly. The owner was installing a new Verizon hotspot while we were there, and while Verizon service farther from the office may have trouble connecting, you can walk over to the office and have 5 bars and speedy connection. Please don't follow your GPS but rather the directions from the owner. The roads are just fine, event he last part that is gravel. Our rate included the cost of an additional adult.
This is a wonderful park. While it is 18 miles off I-95, RT 301 runs parallel so it really is not out of the way. This park has had new owners in the last 2 years and they are delightful & friendly. Working very hard to bring this park up to a great standard. Our site was level & very long. They even came to our site and picked up our propane tank, filled it and returned it to us so we did not need to unhook our rig. We spent one night and this was a Passport America rate
