A little bit more expensive than other places we've stayed, but very convenient for Vancouver touring. On the negative points: the sites are (very/too) tight, and sometime your outside table is located just near the sewer of your neighbor RV. On the positive points: friendly staff, very very good amenities (a large indoor pool and hot water pool, with a sun deck above). Good laundry but very crowded/used.
We stayed only one night unfortunately because this is definitely a wonderful campground. Our site had a great view of the water and areas. Very very clean and well maintained (sites, toilets, showers). Staff friendly and helpful. Sites separated by tall hedges. Pit fire in every site. The only negative point was that is was a little bit difficult to find. (Suggest to add on their website a detailed map to find this campground.)
Very calm campground (we heard only the train but very far away). Fire pit. Very kind people at the desk. Store with lot of stuff. On the less good side : there is NO LAUNDRY in the campground and no sewer connection for the RV, so you need to go to the other RV campground which is about 10 minute drive (but too far to go there by foot). The sites are nice but the roads are very narrow which makes it a challenge to back into with larger units. Also a little bit too far to visit Banff.
Park has beautiful views but its lay out is strange. You need to be able to parallel park your rig in most cases. In our case as we were in a "back to forth" site (two family on the same spot) we had to park with a 45° angle. The BIG problem again is that there is NO LAUNDRY in the park so you have to go downtown. There was no fire pit in our site neither. Many mosquitoes. Nearly half the site was under work/repair.
It was just the most beautiful park we ever found. Wonderful play area for the children (many child's) and great beach access. Sites are very shady and nice. All is CLEAN. Staff is very helpful. Pit fire with all woods you want (included in the price). There is no store onsite but within walking distance. The only problem is that you must reserve at least 3 nights in a row (not less). But this is it when you are a wonderful park. Be aware that you should reserve well in advance to get a place.
The big problem of this campground = MOSQUITOES We were not able to have lunch outside or to walk around as there were huge quantities of mosquitoes. Also no hot water for showers. Nevertheless the site is wonderful, you can walk (except for mosquitoes) directly in the park. There is plenty of space for our site, playground for kids, good fire pits.
This is a very clean campground, and the people behind the desk are very kind and helpful. There is a good laundry, and the fire pits are clean upon arrival. A store is conveniently located on the site in a gas station and provides everything you need. Small playground. Sites are pretty large. On the other side: there is no shade at all in this park despite some small trees. The campground is pretty far from Calgary (at least 45 mn). The wi-fi was not working. But overall the balance was good especially thanks to the employees of the park
