This is a small, very clean campground run by the City of Myrtle Creek. The phone number listed above is for the onsite manager. There are 11 sites with only 1 pull through available but all sites are paved and will accommodate a large RV and a vehicle. There is good space between each site with nice grass at each site. The park is located right next to railroad tracks but it's not a busy track and if/when a train goes by, it doesn't blow a horn. The park is located at the city park with ball diamond and nice walking path around the park with Myrtle Creek (water) on one side. Very clean, very quiet, and there is no way you can beat the price! We stayed there in the one pull thru site. We were traveling with 3 dogs. We would definitely stay there again.
The MOST beautiful campground with tons of flowers all over the park. Our site was very spacious and the grass was great for our dogs. A delight to walk around the park. We were in 39' motorhome with tow dolly and we had plenty of room in our pull -site. Laundry room was very clean but I couldn't use it because I didn't have change, there was no change machine available and it was after office hours. Poor planning on my part but a change machine would have been helpful. The ONLY complaint is the noise from the train at night. A train must have gone by every hour and blew the horns a lot. I didn't sleep well at all because of it but this isn't the fault of the park owners. WiFi was good. Again, absolutely stunning park!
We were there 2 nights in a 39' RV with a tow dolly. Site was long enough, but the sites are very close. Our picnic table was right next to the neighbor's hookups and that wasn't very appealing. Personnel were friendly and park was clean. Wi-Fi was good and we were at the edge of the park, not close to the office. Park's location is good if you want to explore the town.
This is a small RV park located behind the America's Mailbox office right off of I-90. We stayed there 3 nights while becoming residents of South Dakota, obtaining driver's licenses and registering our vehicles. The sites were close but adequate and there is grass (or at least green stuff) at each site, which we wanted because we were traveling with 3 dogs. We were in a 39' RV with a tow dolly behind so we stayed in a pull-through site and had plenty of room. The people at America's Mailbox were very friendly and helpful with obtaining our South Dakota residency. Glad we chose them to handle our mailing needs and staying on the premises was very convenient for us.
I called ahead and asked for full hookups and didn't realize until we got there that they do not have sewer (my fault). It's a pretty campground, but filled with mostly fulltime/vacation trailers. There is an area for RVs, but it's fairly close together and navigating around the twists and turns to get there was a challenge with our 39' RV and tow dolly (total length about 60'). This park is very busy and tons of golf carts driving all over the place. I was eaten alive by mosquitos. We won't stay there again. It's not a bad park, but not for us. Agree with other reviewer, very hard to get into the designated site plus, in our case, the person at the desk told us to go in the wrong way so we had to drive around to come in the right way to attach to services. Again, agree with other reviewer, low trees and sharp turns and the exit was horrible for large rigs. Way too compacted sites.
We stayed in this park for one night and loved it. The host and hostess were SUPER nice and accommodating with our requests. We wanted full hookups and close proximity to the fenced dog area because we are traveling with 3 Siberian Huskies. They put us at a site right next to the dog area. The park is VERY spacious for large rigs. We are 39' and have a tow vehicle so overall length is about 60'. The sewer connection was a little far from the electric, but we worked it out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and will do so whenever we come through this area again. Very dog friendly and park is CLEAN!
We stayed two nights at this campground. The hostess gave us two sites at the cost of one so that we could pull in with our tow vehicle. As reported by others, the sewer connection was quite a distance away from the electric, but we had a long enough hose. Hostess first let us walk over and pick the best site for our rig. The original site she suggested had sewer and electric on opposite sides of the RV, so we asked for 10/44, which had services on both sides. Wi-Fi worked very well for us. The park wasn't busy, so it was a treat to have lots of quiet and a great area to walk our 3 dogs. We would stay there again.
