We stayed here a couple of nights in our MH. The staff was very friendly. There is a great bike trail at the entrance to the park. You can bike for miles on a paved trail. We stayed on a site that backed onto the man made lake. We would stay here again.
Myakka River is one of the best State Parks for wildlife. The water level was low this year, but we were still able to canoe in part of the river. We saw many gators in the river and in the lake. We also saw wild bores, deer, eagles, sandhill cranes and many more birds. The road thru the park is paved and good for bike rides. The sites are small and offer no privacy, the road thru the campground is not paved and is very dusty. The wildlife make up for the camping part. We would stay here again.
We stayed in a site along the river, lots of room for our MH on our site with a view of the river. We had our canoe and spent many hours in the river. Lots of wildlife in and around the river. They have miles of paved roads in the park for biking. There is also a large beach on the lake. We will stay here again.
