This campground is a work in progress. And it's going to take some work to get it in shape. But it is very pleasant for a night of rest. Its peaceful, wooded setting is a nice change from all the gravel and pavement in most campgrounds. It is very quiet other than the highway in the distance. The surroundings promote rest and relaxation. Dogs can run free on the walking trail. The office staff could not have been nicer. New owner took over a few years ago and you can tell he's making a change. It was really nice to have a change from the typical, run of the mill RV park. Very easy off Hwy 44.
This is a clean, quiet, and small park. It is fine for a night or two. The laundry is old, smells musty, and needs cleaning. The owner and staff are very nice. There is some highway noise, but it is not noticeable. There is good access from Hwy 35 and 40. It definitely needs upgrading and the sites that are have broken concrete, needs to be fixed. Sites are long and wide enough to be comfortable. There is grass between sites, which is nice. I don't have strong feelings as to nice or not nice. It's just another RV Park for passing a night.
This park is OK. It's older and over all not attractive. Sites are OK, the dividing fence nice. But tight head room getting out. What is exceptional, however, is the gift shop attached to the office. What a surprise to walk in and see this! Also the small 'park' area in the center of the campground is nice. Four very small pet areas, but walking space just outside the park. The laundry is small and old. The managers are VERY NICE. It might have a nicer appeal when the trees are in bloom. It's quiet and OK for a stop over.
This is a perfectly fine campground for a night or two. Pull-through sites are long and wide. Nice table at each site. Well lit park. Very easy off I-40, but no traffic noise in the park. Very quiet at night. Nice lounge next to the office with two nice pool tables, big screen TV, board games, kitchen. Three good size dog areas big enough for large dogs to run a little, and they were clean. Staff is very nice. Park is neat and tidy. Close to Old Town Albuquerque.
There isn't much to recommend this park. No grass, no trees, very narrow pull through sites. Not a place one would choose for any reason other than you are passing through the area and need a place to stay for the night. It is quiet - far enough from the highway that you don't hear it. Easy on/off Hwy 40. It is very dark. There is no designated dog area. The "dog walk" is a dirt and gravel road. I would not choose this park again.
I like this park a lot. When you get off RT 40 at Exit 66 there is a truck stop for easy fill up. The park is then up a hill, far enough away from the road and truck stop. The park is very quiet. Very clean. Nice 'natural' landscaping. HUGE pull-through sites. Exceptionally nice laundry room - and only $1.00! Two nice dog areas, and trails to let your dog run if you choose. Camp hosts could not have been nicer. Camp is surrounded by mountains, awesome view. All in all an exceptional park.
The park is very small, out in the middle of nothing, right next to HWY 40. It is very easy on and off HWY 40 which is a plus. But it is a "one nighter" type park. No store on premises and nothing at all for many, many miles around. The park is clean. No shade but young trees have been planted. I had planned 4 nights but upon arrival changed to one night. If you're tired and need to stop for rest, you will be comfortable enough. But plan to move on the next day.
Very nice park. All sites are pull through, long and wide. Each site has orange trees and the perimeter of the park is an orange grove. You can pick all you want. Park fills up every day about 3:00pm and empties out the next morning. Popular for travelers going east and west. VERY quiet. No harsh overhead lights. Drawback, no grass. Sites are dirt and gravel, level. Roads are very wide and paved, very easy in and out. Laundry room very clean. Nice fruit/nut shop within walking distance. Office staff very friendly. Free donuts and coffee every morning at 7:00. Beautiful lounge area for watching TV or movies.
This is an outstanding park. It is immaculate and quiet. Very clean laundry room. Beautiful flowering trees as well as evergreens. Pristine landscaping. Nicely laid out sites which are large and easy in/out. Nice landscape lighting rather than harsh overhead spot lights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice store on site. Town down the road is quaint. All stores close by. Two clean dog areas, which is why they charge $3 per day per dog, I guess. This would be my only complaint as it seems very high.
I spent several months at Valencia Travel Village during the winter. The PROS are: wonderful staff would do anything for you; safe; clean; very quiet, very easy access to all shopping you could ever want including Camping World; easy access Hwy 5; nice little store on site; on site RV wash/wax company; decent pet run. CONS are: gravel roads and very dusty in long-term stay section; no full hookups in long-term stay section, but they do pump you free 3x/wk; laundry room is not well kept; it's rundown and many don't work.
I love this little park. Very clean, very quiet. Paved roads. Nice tree by most sites. Beach 2 miles. Downtown easy and interesting, especially by the pier. Really nice dog beach 8 miles. Managers and camp hosts very nice and helpful. Some sites are pretty close together, most have nice room. I recommend the left side of the park for large rigs, especially Class C. I was initially assigned the right side of the park and there was no way I could get in that spot. But they moved me right away without issue. I would definitely come back here and recommend it highly.
If you are exhausted and need to stop for a night, do the right thing and get off the road. Otherwise, just keep on going. It is surrounded by a stagnant pond on one side, a train yard on one side, and highway on two sides. Full of permanent residents. Foul odor in the air constantly. I would not stay here again.
I was pleasantly surprised by this nice little campground. Pull through spaces are extra wide and have mature trees throughout. Good wide gravel roads and sites. Quiet, clean. Not near a highway or train! Easy off highway. No picnic tables or grass for sitting by motorhome but site is wider than normal. Good area for dog walking. Easy to St. George and Zion. Not a place for kids as there is nothing for them to do here, but adults will enjoy the peace and quiet in a nice setting.
This is the first review I have written because this park deserves it. It is immaculate, with the most gorgeous flower beds all over. Wildflowers, annuals, perennials. VERY wide spaces with healthy green grass in between. Lamp posts on the corners. Just the right size, not big. QUIET. The owners are SO nice. Facilities the cleanest and nicest I have ever seen. Dog friendly. Very easy in and out. I cannot say enough about this wonderful park.
Crowded, close sites. Not easy to get in or out of sites. Many full time people here. Pool must be open to kids from town judging from the number of them. Owner rarely on site and at the time of my visit it was managed by very young adults. Had there been an issue I'm not confident they could have handled it. Laundry was clean, Bozeman center easy drive. I drove past the only other campground in the area and it appeared far worse than Bear Canyon, so if I have to be in Bozeman again, I will stay here again.
Really nice park with gorgeous views. VERY clean, nicely landscaped, friendly owners, pet friendly, nice sites. Not a lot to do and 'provisions' are a bit of a drive, but worth it. Quiet park, nice stay.
I'm new to the RV lifestyle. This was only my second stop, so I had some trials. The whole staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful during my stay. They went out of their way to make sure I was ok. The park is very clean, attractive, and a great overall environment. I would highly recommend this park to anyone: singles or families.
