As previous reviewer said, sites 300-310 are the best. When you get into the fairgrounds stop and call the security number. They will assist you to a campsite. Mary suggested site 304 which was much better than where most of the campers park. Level sites. May be a bit unnerving when you hear the first acorn drop on your roof. 90# water pressure and best electric power we've seen in 8 years of travel. Was able to set up satellite TV on tripod behind rig. Strong 3G Verizon Wi-Fi. Garbage barrels right by a nearby tree. Picked up daily. Although across town, it only took a few minutes on 32nd Avenue to reach the speedway.
This is a 55 plus RV resort, not a cheap place to park overnight. We stayed here for one week in December, 2010 and found that it has all of the amenities we like so stayed for 3 more months. My wife is able to do her various art projects and I bike, hike, play water volley ball, and use the exercise facilities. Have met many new friends here. Will admit the restaurant was not well run in 2011 but has greatly improved in 2012. Yes, we are back for 4 months this year. We park in the RV area and found other guests quite friendly. There is plenty of room on each side for slideouts. Pet owners have their own section. The name tags are actually a great ice breaker and happily worn by almost everyone. We are enjoying more and more activities every week. There are Las Vegas and Branson entertainers who come to the park twice a week during the winter season. The nightly rate reflects price for a four month stay. We will be back in 2013.
