Convenient one night stay with pull-through sites and utilities. Didn't use facilities. I would be leery of some sites during a storm as the pecan trees are old and the limbs heavy. You can see a couple that have broken recently. Easy in and out and we would stay here again but only as an overnight stop. People were friendly and could really make this a nice park. Many long term sites were apparent.
As a one night stay, Sam's Town was better than just OK. My only gig was it was way off the main road. Easy to get in and out and clean facilities. All pull through sites and plenty of room. Note that you have to go to the hotel to register and pay. I called the front desk from the phone provided at the restrooms and had a guard come get me and take me to the front desk. I would stay here again, but I would think twice about not spending a little bit more and staying closer to the route of travel.
The KOA in Springfield was a nice place to stay while working for a few days in Strafford. The rate was a bit too high as are all KOAs in my opinion, but it was where we needed it to be and was clean and available. We would stay here again, if we need to be in this area.
Ozark Country Campground was a nice park with plenty of shade, a nice pool, and clean facilities. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made our stay a pleasant one. Easy to find and a very convenient location in Branson. Very near Table Rock Dam and located on one of the back roads that wind around Branson's busy entertainment corridor. We stayed in a 40' Class A and had no trouble getting to the campground or parking at the campground. We would stay here again.
Buffalo Point is a great place to stay. We stayed in a 40' Class A and it was tight. There are several sites that can handle a 40', but you must read the details at the online reservation site. The river is nice and swimming and tubing and canoeing are fun. Several concession services are available to help you plan a long distance float or you can float from the boat launch to the "D" campground. It takes about an hour. Restrooms and showers were clean. The camp host was friendly. A very pleasant stay.
