This state park, in the southeast corner of Washington, is a lovely spot to get away from it all. There is hiking, wildlife watching, and nearby access to both the Grande Ronde River and the Snake River. The campsites are very private and secluded, but there are also facilities available for rent to large parties.
We stopped here on a whim, and were not disappointed. We usually like to boondock, but the were enticed by the hotsprings. Our campsite - on the lower area - was very private; and the hot springs were soothing.
This is the classic NPS campground - tucked away in the woods, with semi-private sites, and the charming nature shows at night. We enjoyed our stay, except for the guy with the noisy generator next door.
