Beautiful area, but a few negatives that really took away from things here. The facility is really large with a few hundred sites. However, the pool is right on the busy road, so you feel a little out of place wearing a swimsuit in front of the highway. Be prepared for some insane speed bumps, too. Our site was near the back, and there were no less than a dozen speed bumps we had to cross each time we left, some of which scraped the bottom of our car. If you're pulling something low to the ground, find somewhere else.
If staying here, be sure you're pulling into the correct campground: this one is a little more than a mile north of the interstate, not the one right next to it. The short drive was worth it though, we were amazed at how empty it was. Huge pull through lots for rigs over 70 feet, great pool, and nicely responsive owners. WiFi worked great, faster than at my house. Will definitely stay here again when we return.
This campground is in a rather large state park. If you're in a motorhome, the only entrance you'll make it into is the main entrance on the expressway. Every other way in/out we found had a weight limit or low bridge that we couldn't cross. Just to enter the park, you have to pay a $10 parking fee. Once you register at the campground desk, they give you a pass for unlimited in/out for the duration of your stay, but keep in mind that you're paying $10 for the first time you go in. The campground is huge, nicely spaced out and very well maintained.
