This park was OK. It's located well, close to the Park entrance. You need a reservation - we saw people turned away because they didn't have one. Once you get there, it is a first come, first serve as far as picking a particular site, so be ready to search for a nice one. Nonmembers are located outside the 'gated community', but the sites were fine. Restrooms/showers were rustic but clean. The staff did not seem overly friendly - just business-like. Laundry facilities were good. WI-FI was only at the Lodge, and it was pretty slow. We would only stay here again if there was nothing inside the National Park.
Beautiful campground, and pretty close to the National Park. We enjoyed our stay in this campground. The negatives - the WI-FI is pretty much nonexistent except in certain parts of the park; the men bathroom/shower is fairly clean but very rustic and could use some upgrading. My wife says the women side was nice. We would stay here again - the owners are pretty new and look like they are making some improvements. The entire staff was very nice and helpful.
This campground is kept well, bathrooms and showers are very clean. It was a good place to stay, but it was too crowded for us - there was usually a long wait for a bathroom and/or shower. It was also a little too far from the Grand Canyon (1 hour), but it was close to William (which is a great town!). We would stay here again if we can't find a place closer to the Canyon.
We found this park to be excellent. Sites were clean, bathroom and showers were very clean, and the folks in the office were very nice. It's also a nice, quiet park. We didn't use the pool or golf, but they looked very nice as well, and we would have used them if it were warmer. I was surprised at how close we were to the entrance of the National Park; with such a long drive in the Mesa Verde park itself, this was a great plus for this RV park's location.
This is an amazing resort! We have enjoyed all the amenities it offers and are amazed at the cleanliness of the entire campground. The showers and bathrooms are extremely clean, the pool and spa are well kept and were a welcome refresher after a long day of hiking in Palo Duro Canyon. The sites are well placed and well spaced and easy to pull into. Set-up was a piece of cake, even for a rookie like me. I like the waist-high fences that separate each site: helps to give you a feeling of more privacy, since there are not many trees in this part of Texas. The park is located just outside Amarillo, so it gives you feeling of being "away from it all" but still having the convenience of many stores just a stone's throw away. You can hear the constant sound of the highway nearby, but for us, it really did not detract from the quality of this park.
We really enjoyed this campground. It was our first experience camping in a travel trailer, and we found everything to be wonderful. We had a leak inside our camper when we were away from the campground, which caused it to flood a bit on the floor of the trailer, and we returned to find that another camper had seen it and shut off the water for us. The camp host also had come by and left a note about it. Both of them came by the next morning to check on us, so we felt very good about the consideration of others. Showers, bathrooms were very clean: enough so that we used them instead of our own. It is a very beautiful campground with almost all shaded sites and a nice lake for swimming. It was also very easy to find with our GPS.
