This park is one of Nevada's "hidden" gems. Superb doesn't do it justice. The Atlatl site (main campground) has 3 distinct areas: RV with water plus 30 and 50 amp electric, RV/tent with water only and tent only with common area water. If you're a Nevada Senior, get a Nevada State Park Senior Pass ($15 cost and good for 12 months) and wave the park fee of $20. That's right: it's only $10 a night!
After spending the previous night at Beatty RV Park, we were going to just barrel on through to Valley of Fire. But, on the way out of Beatty, we came across this very new park and decided to stay a night, and were glad we did. This park has EVERYTHING and is affiliated with the new hotel/motel next door. Probably the best thing is that the park is located within the town's 25 MPH limit, and so, big rig noise is barely audible. Add to that, a site chosen to the park's rear and you have a peaceful night's rest, after relaxing in the pool and spa. This park is so new that it doesn't have a website. It's address is 300 South Hwy 95, Beatty, NV 89003 and is located at the very south end of town on the west side of the highway. If you happen to drive past, then realize it, there is a long 50' wide, level and clear dirt/gravel shoulder where you can pull over, then make a u-turn (you're still in the 25 MPH zone, so its not too scary).
This was our first stay at this park. The Manager was friendly and helpful (even came out of the park office to greet us as we drove in). It appears this park has seen a recent upgrade/remodel. All sites are gravel, level and pull through. Most are FHU with 30 and 50 amp service. There is no cable TV and no off-air reception. We were in site #1 and WiFi was "2 bars" and too slow to stream. Two remodeled shower-toilets were spotlessly CLEAN and attractive. But, the park is located right on Hwy 95 in a 70 MPH zone, on a slight upgrade and you might as well have been at the end of an LAX runway, listening to the airliners landing, all, night, long. Its too bad, but we won't stay here again.
This is a typical city-center trailer park with short-term RV access an afterthought. Park is located in seedy area, but is walled and gated. Restroom/shower is dated but clean, as is pool area. This park is minimally acceptable, but, I'll try something else before staying here again.
