What was the greatest asset of this campground? It was the staff. We were towed to the campground when our truck became disabled on I-95. We spoke to the lady at this KOA, over the phone and she offered the use of her truck without ever laying eyes on us. The owner was accommodating and all went above and beyond to make our three days here bearable while our truck was being repaired at a local Chevy dealer 7 miles away. I just wish I was as happy with GM as I am with the Fredrucksburg KOA.
The campground was just a gravel lot, with mostly transient workers as neighbors. The lots by the lake were nice, but most had no sewer. This is a place to just sleep, if you're visiting the Atlanta area.
We were camping with other RVers so the close sites were not a problem. Our awnings faced each other with 2 feet between them. The owner and his wife could not have been nicer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 4 nights here.
