This was a nice KOA. Our site was long enough for our MH and toad. The pad was concrete and level. The staff was very helpful and professional. The pool was cold, but the hot tub served it's purpose well. The KOA is close to shopping and attractions. The roads are in need of repair, but if you are doing the speed limit you will be fine. We would happily stay here again. No problems with noise.
This is a hidden gem of a park. It is mostly seasonal residents but it is a beautiful park along the inter coastal waterway. The sites are level concrete and look brand new. There is a small patch of grass between the sites. The views are spectacular. The staff is great and the owner very nice. They offer FREE washer and dryers in there immaculate laundry rooms. The only negative that we had was the train whistles that are very loud day and night. Beautiful sunsets and the proximity to Galveston Island and shopping, along with the other things mentioned, would make us come back and stay here again.
This is a very nice resort. It is in a questionable area of San Antonio, but we experienced no problems whatsoever. Shopping is close and the resort is on the near south side of the downtown area. The sites are spacious and level. The gravel is evened out every time someone pulls out. The staff was terrific. Some traffic and train noise but not terrible. Cable and Wi-Fi were fine. When we pass through San Antonio again we will absolutely stay here again.
This very clean well maintained park is very close to I-10. Easy on, easy off. Sites are level gravel. Wi-Fi good. Cable TV good. Staff was very helpful. Close to shopping and attractions. If you like train whistles this place is for you. No pool but a nice hot tub. We would stay here again if we are in the area.
Next to a company that makes concrete pipes. Noisy. The previous poster was right about semi-permanent residents. We were between a guy who fired up his Harley at 5 am Monday thru Friday and a woman who spent most of the day screaming at her kid. The sites were level. Cable was fine. You have to pay for more than 4 hours/day of Wi-Fi. The provider is Tengonet who should pay us for using it. Terrible. Very close to shopping and Balloon Fiesta. The resort has speed bumps throughout the resort. Very large. Good news is nobody was speeding. We would not stay here again.
This KOA is clean. The staff was good. It is a nice looking KOA. It is close to shopping and attractions. The roads are tight. The Wi-Fi is Tengonet, so not very good. When I made the reservation back in March I reserved a "super site" because the website said it had cable. We checked in and went to the assigned site. No cable. Went back to the office and was told that the "super site" I was assigned to had no cable. They had no other cable sites available except one without sewer hook up. Not acceptable. They offered a refund but we could not find a campground that had an opening. We stayed and used the antennae. The site itself was not level, but otherwise okay. Train noise and road noise. Do not advertise that you have amenities when you do not. We would not stay here again.
This is a massive resort comprised of mostly park model units. There is a small area for short term stays. The spaces are gravel with concrete patios. The area is designed to have opposite entry pull thrus. We pulled all the way into ours, but the RV next to us did not. Our slide outs were almost touching. This was the only negative to this resort. It is beautiful. While this is still the off season they have many activities for their residents in-season. The pool area was one of the nicest we have seen. The water was perfect and the pool area was large and very nice. We would be very happy to stay here again.
First of all we stayed at this park during the off-season. The entrance has the name of the resort removed so it was a little confusing. The young lady in the office was terrific. We were led to our site which was a back-in. The hook-ups were good. The site was level concrete. We used the laundry. They were built facing the afternoon sun. The door knobs were so hot we needed a pot holder to open them. The room was not air conditioned. As I said, this was the off-season. The park is well maintained and close to shopping and sights. We would not return to the area during the off-season but would stay here again.
This may have been the nicest resort we have stayed in. The place is beautiful. The staff is tremendous and very helpful. The facilities are immaculate. We were in the adult only pool one night when a family with younger kids came into the pool. Within minutes a security guard came out and, very professionally explained to parents that the family pool was for them. Excellent! Oasis is on the south end of the strip. It is near the airport so planes can be heard from time to time. Although I-15 and ramps are very close, noise from the road was not an issue. The sites are concrete and level. The Wi-Fi and cable were good. This is a very nice place and well worth the money. The only negative that we had was when we were checking in my wife was approached by a woman selling memberships to a campground club. She reeked of cigarettes and alcohol. Not good. We didn't go to the "seminar".
This park is in a good location between Bryce and Zion. There is not much close to this park. The nearest grocery store is 10 minutes away. You are going to drive a lot if you stay here. It is right on Rt. 89 so road noise is a problem. Sites were tight. Grass not cut except for the day before we left. Although the rate was low the quality was not great. We would probably not stay here again.
This KOA was fine. It is near Arches and Canyonlands. It is close to I70, but you don't hear road noise. You hear the occasional train. The campground is sand and pebbles and gets a little dusty when the wind blows. The cable and Wi-Fi were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant close by offers a 10% discount when you mention that you are staying at the KOA. We would stay here again.
This park is very clean and well maintained. The roads are paved and the sites level concrete. Very nice. It is, however, surrounded by major highways and refineries. Access to I-215 is close by and a Flying J is right down the street. It is in an industrial area with no shopping/entertainment close by. Whoever designed the sites must not be an RVer, because the sewers (as mentioned by others) are located at the rear of the site near the street. Ridiculous. Wi-Fi was fine. Cable is limited to 20 some channels. Staff was friendly.
Agree with the previous reviewer. The location is good. Cable and Wi-Fi were excellent. Had no problems with the Wi-Fi. The sites are gravel and fairly close together. The FHU was good. There is a main street on the edge of the campground, so noise was a factor. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Pool is a fair hike away. Didn't use the showers. Laundry was fine in the RV park. We would probably stay here again because of its great location and friendly staff.
This campground is all gravel with no shade. The scenery is beautiful. We had a full hook up. The Wi-Fi was adequate. The campground is 18 miles from Cody and 30 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone. It is in a good spot for access to both. It was very quiet. The grounds are well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative that I have is the lack of cable, which would have been nice. We only got 3 TV stations with our antenna. One was NBC and the other 2 were PBS. Other then that, we have no complaints. We would stay here again.
This is a very nice KOA. It is newer and very well maintained. The sites are not huge, but big enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cable and Wi-Fi were great. The area is beautiful. We went into the downtown Buffalo area and had a good time. We would stay here again.
First the good. Beautiful campground, close to everything you want to see. Site level. Scenery beautiful. Very quiet. Pool nice. Breakfast great. Basic hookups good. Now the negative. Wi-Fi is terrible. When I went to the office to check on it I was told by the young lady at the desk; "Ya, our Wi-Fi isn't that good". Okay then. You can only have cable in one small section of the park. Over the air channels, all four of them, were in and out. Cable and Wi-Fi are important to some and not to others. It's important to us. Speaking of the staff, everybody looked miserable. Customer service was poor, everywhere in the park. After all of the glowing reviews read here, we were disappointed, especially at this price.
This is a very nice KOA. It is very clean. Very well maintained and the staff is terrific. They have a small restaurant in the office. We ate dinner there and the food was very good. Our space was level and the amenities were good. This is mostly a spend a night place because there is not much around there. It is not far from the Badlands; however, and right next to the 1880's town, which was fun. The owner is very nice and keeps his KOA above average. We would stay here again.
The rate reflects a month stay. This was a good place to stay. Most of the campground is for seasonal campers who own the park models they are in. The staff was for the most part great. The campground is located in a good area for shopping and entertainment. The only negatives for us were a lack of cable tv and the WiFi which, when it was working, could only be accessed in an open air pavilion or in the immediate area around the pavilion. This place gets busy on the weekend with locals using the campground beach and the transient spaces. It wasn't bad too bad though even when it was packed. The showers were very clean and the pool was good. We will stay here again when we are back in the area.
The first thing I would say is that the owner is putting a lot of effort into repairing this place. For now the roads are not in good shape. Our site was not level. The cable tv was out. Owner said he lost an amplifier in a storm. Construction crews applying new gravel to sites creates a lot of dust during the day. Not matter how much the new owner puts into this place, he can't do anything about the road noise from I-70 which is right next to the park. The exit for a major truck stop is right there at the edge of the park so if you love engine brake noise in the middle of the night, this is your place. We sleep with a fan on in our bedroom and it couldn't drown out the noise. We would not stay here again.
This is a nice RV park. A little treacherous pulling in because the entrance is on top of a hill. Those coming at you can't see you and you can't see them. Owners/Staff very nice. Very helpful. Interior roads and sites are gravel with a concrete patio. Sites were level. Rental units available. Close enough to Branson but quiet. Shopping close. Amusement park next door. Wi-Fi slow at times but adequate. We would stay here again.
This newer park is just fabulous. The clubhouse and pool are beautiful. The staff was terrific. The grounds are well maintained and immaculate. The showers are the nicest I have seen in a resort. The scenery is beautiful, and you can get a back in site along the river. You can rent a pontoon boat to take out in the lake. They have a massive pavilion for groups. Shopping is close by. When we are back in the area this would be our choice of places to stay.
This is a very nice, new campground. The sites are level and concrete. It is in close proximity to Memphis, but there is plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful. Wi-fi good. Cable minimal, but fine. Pool not open yet. Park is very well maintained. New sites are being built across the street. The only reason for the 8 is that the park is in the glide path for Memphis airport. Wasn't terrible, but at times loud. We would happily stay here again when we are in Memphis
We stayed here because of the high reviews on this website. We were disappointed. I understand that this is the off season. But the grounds were not maintained well. Large dogs were running free through the property. Shopping is not close. Several miles away. The wi-fi was very slow. Water went off one day and then came on. When I used the toilet water came flying out of it. I use a regulator on the water system. All in all not one of our favorite campgrounds. On the positive side is it's access to both Biloxi and New Orleans.
This is a very nice park. Easy on and off to I- 10. Site was gravel and level. Owners are very nice and helpful. Park and facilities were clean. Wi-Fi worked well, and the cable was great! Have already reserved to stay here again.
This is a nice clean park. Close to I-10. Convenient on and off. Quiet. As mentioned the sites are close together and gravel. They are level. The roads were a little tight but not too bad. The staff is very nice. It was a little chilly so we did not use the pool. We would stay here again.
We stayed at Lake Magic for the winter. It's close proximity to Disney World is a huge plus for us. It is 10-15 minutes to the main gate. Plenty of great restaurants close by and any kind of shopping you need. The staff is good and there are plenty of activities during the winter. The site we were in was a back-in, concrete pad with patio. Cable is free, but Wi-Fi you have to pay for if you want it at your site. Free in the clubhouse. Two pools and clean restrooms. We have already signed up to return in November.
Very clean, very well maintained resort. The staff was just tremendous. The laundry room was immaculate. The pool is outstanding. The resort was empty for the most part while we were there. The 9 instead of 10 is only because of the road noise outside of the resort. They are right off of 41 which is a busy road. Great proximity to Naples and Marco Island. Would stay here again when we are in Naples. No public showers which doesn't matter to us.
This was a nice park in a beautiful setting. It is right along the freeway but the noise wasn't too bad. The problem that I had was the lack of campground rule enforcement. I am not a prude nor do I judge how people comport themselves. I can howl at the moon with the best of them. The amount of really drunk people driving around in golf carts is an issue. People openly consuming alcohol while driving golf carts: one guy standing in front of my site smoking grass. Like I said, I am not begrudging anyone having a good time. But it was a touch out of hand.
We jusy spent two weeks at Hilton Head Harbor. We picked a beautiful site that was very private and directly across from the pool/hot tub. We could not have been happier. We were close to everything at this resort. The staff was terrific. The resort is constantly cleaned by a hard working staff. We will stay here again when we are in the area and highly recommend it!
Not only was this the best KOA we have ever stayed in, it is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. The staff was very helpful. The campground is clean. The sites are level and spacious. I had great cable reception and good Wi-Fi. When we are back in this area we will absolutely stay here again.
This is a very nice park that is close to a lot of historic sites. The site we were given was level and in a good location. The pool is closed for the season. The staff was great and very helpful. There is train noise but it is not prohibitive. The only complaint that I have is the very slow Wi-Fi. I am sure it was because they were busy this weekend. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!
Park was very quiet except for the ducks. Nothing you can do about that. It was beautiful along the river. The owner was great and very attentive. We spent a week here and would not hesitate to come back. Access to the National Park is not far and the town is very nice. Good cable and excellent Wi-Fi.
Getting in and out of the campground is on basically a one lane road. The roads in the campground itself are in poor shape. The Wi-Fi is not that good and has a terrible signal. The sites are very close together. This place is okay for an overnight stay and it is close to Pittsburgh and the southwest part of the state. That's the only reason I give it a 4. The office was closed from 11 am to 1 pm everyday.
This campground is under new ownership and is vastly improved over the last time we stayed. We stayed here for a month while we transitioned out of our house and into our RV full time. The owner and his wife could not have been any nicer or more attentive. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The campground is very clean. The staff was great. The only negatives that I would have would be the lack of cable and the water is from a well so there are quite a lot of minerals in it. We will stay here again when we are back in the area.
Memphis KOA is in a great location. 15 minutes from Beale St. and 25 minutes from Graceland. The campground is easily accessed from I-55. The gravel pad was level but the sites are so close together that no fire ring was at the site. Management said that the site was too small for a fire ring. They placed one at the end of the aisle and told us we could use it then parked 5 other campers between us and the fire ring. They need to upgrade their electric service to meet the need of bigger rigs. The pool had yet to be opened although it was 85 degrees out.
Cave Country is in a perfect location for the Mammoth Cave area. The campground is very clean and modern. Check in was quick and everything was explained very well. While close to the highway and railroad tracks, this was never an issue. We would highly recommend Cave Country if you're visiting the Mammoth Cave area.
