We stayed here for 8 days to be somewhat close to the ocean. Our site was okay, not a place you want to sit by the fire and relax. But since we were here for the ocean it didn't matter. The best thing about the campground was the pool, with water slides. They did have a nice hayride with Santa on the weekend. The beaches were still 30 minutes away which made for a long commute each day. They also didn't keep the pool open late in the evening. Also the pool which said the shallow was 4 feet deep was not the case, I could barely touch the bottom and I am 5'7", so for families with young kids who can't swim this could be a bummer. But for kid's who were swimmers it was wonderful!! When we visit the shore again I think we will choose someplace closer. The bathrooms were disgusting and never really got any better, but luckily we have our own bathroom which we used instead. Overall, we won't come here again, we were a little disappointed.
We stayed here for only two days. We had a pull through site which was nicely wooded but small. The pool was a nice size and we enjoyed it during the hot 90 degree weather. They did charge an extra $2.00 a night for AC which was a bummer. I don't like to be nickel and dimed to death. They did do a fire truck ride but only after inquiring, normally during the week they don't do one. Everything was down hill to get to but we did find a trail to ride our bikes on which was nice. The owners seemed helpful in pointing out places and attractions. We enjoyed the Hopewell Furnace National Park that they recommended. But this isn't a place you would want to spend a week at, not enough to see and do.
Wow! We had a beautiful view on our site wheich was in the Plateau area of the campground. The pool was also a hit with a waterslide. We almost had the place to ourselves during the week. The owners had alot of fun activities planned, such as archery and BB guns along with the normal wagon ride. We stayed here for 3 days and had a relaxing time. We basically stayed at the campground and enjoyed the peace. The kids loved the pool, they even had a late night pool party with all the lights in the pool and around on, really neat. We would go back here again for sure!!!
We only stayed here one night on our way to the Jersey Shore. We really enjoyed the pool and fishing pond. We were given a pull through site which made it easy to set up and leave the next morning. But if we were staying longer we would have picked another, more wooded site. We definitely will be back for a longer stay. The highway noise didn't affect us, since we were further away, the new bathhouse was beautiful and clean, although we don't use them much.
