Individual bathrooms are a nice amenity. This is an older campground that has not been updated. Make sure you follow the instructions in Woodall's to enter the campground because the entrance from the west is confusing. Cable TV is limited to only eleven channels.
What a difference ten days make! We camped in space 43 ten days after the person who submitted the review on 6/10 and had problems with the cable reception. We noticed the cats on checking in because of the strong odor in the reception area. A real turn off. Even though we reserved a pull through, one of the family owners didn't want to give it to us because we didn't have a large enough rig to make the best use of it. Ambiance was compromised by several old, skirted trailers.
The only reason this park did not get a ten is the noise factor with the highway and train tracks so near. We arrived in a driving rainstorm yet the owner personally accompanied us to our site and guided us into position for hookups. Owners are super nice people and are on top of the maintenance. Pumps were going to get rid of the excess water the very next day. I would recommend this campground to anyone interested in getting a terrific bargain.
The only amenity provided was by God. The view was incredible from all sites. Owner doesn't seem to want to invest much in capital improvements. Wi-Fi was available but only from the office. Only one bath house and that was a long ways away down a steep hill. They were clean but there was no men's urinal and showers required a token which limited your use to 6 minutes. No satellite TV. I wouldn't want to be there in a heavy rain. My rig would sink into the grass.
The owners were very pleasant people but this park is occupied by so many full timers with plywood skirting around their rigs that one could really designate it more of a trailer park than a campground. Showers were funky but clean. It did offer adequate amenities like Wi-Fi and cable.
Considering the fact that there are no amenities like cable TV, etc., the rate is high. Of course, it seems to be the only decent RV campground in town and this is surprising in view of the size of the Helena area. Restrooms are clean but there is limited privacy for showers. It is a quiet and scenic park with some trees and open area to walk dogs.
