The staff was friendly. As for a KOA park this was my least favorite. There was no garbage pick up at the site. We had to walk a long distance to reach the dumpsters. There is no cable service and TV antenna signal was terrible resulting in no TV for the evening. The size of the site was good. It fit my 35 ft coach & tow dolly. The pet area was a joke. We had to walk our dogs on the edge of a corn field. The store was not well stocked with food items & had overpriced state magnets. I would only recommend this place as a overnight stay. Highway 90 runs along the rear and can be heard clearly at night.
The sites were not very long but well maintained. This KOA has a Kamp K9 which was gated and well maintained. This was a big plus in our book. The staff was very friendly. The store was super clean and well stocked. There were tons of activities for everyone. There are tours that can be taken from the front office to see various parts of Nashville. The Santa Fe Cattle Company Steakhouse located up the road was recommended to us by the girl in the front office, and it was the best steak I have had in a long time. A must stop if you want great food. The bathroom & private showers were clean and well maintained. It was close from the highway and near lots of attractions. There is a large indoor Mall being built which will open in 2012 just minutes away.
The roads were steep in places and they were dirt roads. The sites were long and fit my coach and tow dolly. The staff were very friendly, and to make us feel welcomed they delivered freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to our site and welcomed & thanked us for staying there. The restrooms & showers were very clean and well maintained. The doors had a key pad code to enter which I felt was a plus. The only thing that we didn't like was that they charged for internet usage of $5.00 per day. There were no K-9 areas to let your dogs run. I would stay at this KOA only as a overnight stay.
Overall our stay at this park was pleasurable. It is well maintained. The grass is well trimmed, and the sites are very large. I was able to park my 35 ft coach along with tow dolly and still have plenty of room for two- three vehicles. The only draw back is that there are no pet walks for the dogs. We had to go off property to walk the dogs. There is no garbage pick up so you have to be your own sanitation disposal person. The highway noise is minimum, and the freight train that passes at night is not loud at all. Overall a nice park to stay in. I would stay at this park again.
The best KOA park we ever stayed at. The staff was super friendly and there store was well stocked. The overall condition of the park was in excellent condition. All the roads were in excellent condition thru out the park. My site was large, leveled and clean. The dog park was large, clean and updated. The pool was very nice. Cellphone reception was great. Digital TV reception was excellent. The store offered some homemade jam which was delicious. You must try some if you ever make it there. It is very close to all the civil war battlegrounds. I highly recommend this KOA park.
To make this short and sweet this KOA park was the WORST KOA park I ever stayed at. Yes, the people were friendly, you can't take that away. But the overall condition of the roads and sites were DISGUSTING. There are no paved roads to get to your site. I was escorted to my site and taken through hole filled dirt roads. I thought I was going to lose my toad in the process. ALL of the sites are on dirt or sand, none of the sites or roadways are paved. The hook-up equipment seem current. You are completely surrounded by forest. The WI-FI service was good & had no cellphone signal while at this park. I have stayed in numerous KOA parks and this is by far the WORST one I ever stayed. I will NOT be staying here ever again. I will reflect this review on my KOA survey.
This KOA park was descent compared to others in the area. It has tons for the kids to do. For example, two large pools, one with a large slide. It had a bouncing balloon pillow so the kids as well as adults can do some jumping. The store was well stocked and had a great selections on decorative signs. The sites we were in, were in OK condition. Most were even but you were on some gravel. I highly suggest that you bring a surge protector with you. There were numerous electrical spikes and surges. My surge protector saved me. It stopped the surge from damaging my RV and it took the damage for me. It melted the 30 amp receptacle in the pedestal. I called to report the problem and maintenance was here with five minutes. They replaced the damaged receptacle and had me running in no time. The water pressure was not the greatest, but that was because the park was jammed with people. Wi-Fi service was good. I didn't mind some of the F-16 military jet noise. You hear it through out the day and it was bearable. I rather loved hearing our fighter jets from our U.S Navy flying around. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. As for some of the northerners (CANADIANS) visiting, I can honestly say they were very unfriendly people with there rude attitudes. I would stay here again.
We come to this KOA park for various reasons. One, its very convienant and close to old St. Augustine town, and second we just love the way we are always treated here. From the courteous check-in lady to the various staff through-out the park they are always very nice. I did see the owner of the park inspecting and instructing his workers of things that he saw. But overall the park is well kept. The sites are clean and manicured. The dog park is a nice size and clean. Almost all the people pick up after their dogs, but you have your few who don't believe in picking up after their dogs. I would highly recommend this KOA park to anyone.
We stayed on the Ocean front sites. They are a bit tight. The sites away from the beach are wider and gives you more room for your slide out. The overall condition of the park was awesome. Staff were always friendly and willing to help. The family bathroom were always clean and in great condition. I recommend this RV park, where else can you enjoy the beach so close and enjoy time with your family. I love this place and this is my third year coming back.
Being our first time staying at the RV park we were very impressed by the level of customer service we received when we checked in. The overall condition of the park is EXCELLENT. The sites were clean and the staff was always around cleaning. The garbage was always being picked up every morning. The dog "area" was small and the weeds needed to be trimmed. They should work on making it larger.Overall experience was excellent & would stay again at this park.
