This is one of our favorite parks to go to. Always friendly, helpful staff, always clean and well maintained. Plenty of things for the kids to do, going to Stone Mountain Park is always fun. We camped over the 4th of July holiday, park was very busy but overall a nice stay. Being a holiday weekend and poor weather WIFI was non existent and we had a site about 50 yds from the front office where the signal should be the strongest. When the park is busy getting around can be difficult, just have to be slow and patient for parking at some sites can be tight, making passing by towing your rig snug. Cable worked fine, bath houses were clean. The biggest complaint I have, is people, please clean up after your dog. The campground has doggie bags throughout the park, but don't be lazy and depend on the park to provide this. We had a dog go to the bathroom in the grass right outside our camper door and the owner did not clean it up. I have a 2 year old and the last thing i need is for him to step in it, or trip and fall in it. Don't be lazy, clean up after your pet. Overall, great stay in spite of the weather, had a blast, and will return.
This is our first time camping in the Savannah,Ga area, this is a great campground for your first visit. About 20 minutes to downtown Savannah, about 35 minutes out to Tybee Island. Sites are mostly level and lots of shade. Cable hookup worked fine, you get about 12 channels. I didn't find anywhere that a had WIFI signal though this site said it did. We were here the first part of October and it rained a lot on Saturday, and our site partially flooded. Some were worse than mine but it soaked up pretty quickly and wasn't a huge issue. They have built a new comfort station up by campground #4, very nice and very clean. It has a family bathroom that can come in handy if you have small children and can bath them all together. The bad about that is that when you are in the shower the WHOLE bathroom floods. It has a drain in the shower stall and in the middle of the room, but most of the water runs to the middle of the room and it takes the long way to get to the drain, henceforth flooding the bathroom. There is no place to set anything off the floor, no benches or shelving. so bring what you have to and put it on the back of the toilet and hope it doesn't fall in or in the sink. Overall great park, plenty of room for kids and pets to run around camper. They have 3 playgrounds, all are approved by my 2 yr old. This will be using this park every time we come to the Savannah area.
