The campground on top had very nice pull thrus. We did not have to disconnect our car. The water was turned off because of cold weather. The sewer was only for grey water. They only have 30 amp electric service. My Verizon 4g worked very well. It is a inexpensive place to stay for one night. The staff was courteous and helpful. The campground filled up early. We would stay there again.
This was a very enjoyable stop for the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for a satellite friendly site and they gave that to us. The sites had been updated and were level now. The WiFi was not working. My Verizon 4G was working well. Wished I could of stayed longer as the views were beautiful. My only complaint is it is KOA and their pricing is high. They would have more customers if they brought the price down.
The sites were long enough so we didn't have to disconnect our car. The sites were level. The staff was very efficient and helpful. We enjoyed the casino food and pricing. My verizon 4g worked very well there. We would stay there again. It was busy there this time of year so I would recommend reservations. We did receive a discount on our stay from a booth at Quartzite, AZ.
This is one of my favorite parks as it is a close walk to the beach. My reason for not marking this a 10 is because when we arrived we were told we could not enter till 12:00 P.M. We arrived at 11:20 A.M. If we wanted to wait we could park on the side of the road. If we wanted to park early we could pay $5.00. We belong to numerous membership parks and 99% don't mind when you arrive. It was not written in our membership books. Each Sunrise Resort managers have different policies. This is a reminder to all who read this "don't arrive early". There is a $3.00 fee if you use 50 amp. I don't mind that as some charge $5.00. The staff is very nice and helpful. The grounds are well maintained. I have Verizon and it jumps from 3g to 4g. I have been dropping calls. You can still use your phone most of the time. We have Dish and it works very well.
We stayed here from May 1, 2011 to August 1, 2011. This is a small park, however very large spaces. We have a 40' motorhome and still had lots of space left. The park is designed for seasonal R.V.ers. The owner works overtime to make sure everything is just right for you. I have Verizon Cell service and it does not work. If you go up the road a short distance to Lake Almanor it works. The park has a very good Wi-Fi system and I used my Majic Jack phone service that worked very well. We enjoyed our visit and are planning on returning next year.
I enjoyed this park because it was in the country, however you could still hear the train in the distance. The sites were big enough for big rigs and slides. The preserve was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great Miniature Golf Course. Verizon Wireless worked well. We were able to get satellite reception. The surrounding towns had many tourist activities and sights to see. I would return, and recommend this park.
As the last person who wrote a review said, there were no signs to let us know the name had changed, and we also went past the park. The spaces were big enough for a big rig and slides. Our Verizon Wireless worked well. New owners bought this park about a month ago and are working to make many improvements. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is near beaches, museums, casinos, and shopping. Enjoyed the feeling of being in the country. I would recommend this park. We enjoyed our stay.
