Management was outstanding and helped get car disconnected and allowed us to use empty site next to us for car and dolly. They gave our daughter, who lives in Dry Ridge, a pass to come in to visit! Some noise from highway which is right down the hill and the trains going by across the road but did not wake us up. Stayed a week in site 60 with nice view of the lake since lower camping area by lake was still closed. They could use some electric up grades to bring voltage up a little more.
Nice place off I-75 easy access. No trees but long pull through sites. They give you a free breakfast with your stay. No restroom after the store closes but with full hook ups we use our rig. We will make this a stop on our year Snowbird trip!
Older park but well kept. We are staying for 4 months. Heated swimming pool. We're in a 36' motorhome some areas would be too tight for 40' or larger. About 2/3 sites are park models. Staff and everyone we've meet friendly. Entryway a little steep and scraped our tow dolly pulling in.
An excellent park we stayed a week. Along the KY River with easy self check in after hours. Excellent pull through, level paved sites, paved pad with table, fire pit with grill attached. Has a nice playground and sidewalks along the water.
Spent a month and 3 weeks in pull threw site that the back side had a pile of leaves and junk so it was unusable. Restroom individuals and maintenance man both seen cleaning items in the showers and floors dirty. Park was not plowed after snow until late in day and undriveable to get rigs in or out. Only a few sites were even plowed. Monthly sites were charged .14per KWH and heat tape to parks water lines was charged to the sites. Park staff was not well trained. Question about propane bottle exchange when there exchange bottles were over due inspection individual did not know about dates! Wild cats loose in park and individual allowed dogs to run loose. One trailer was in such bad shape the individual had several tarps covering most of trailer and living in it with large pile of unknown items covered with tarp behind trailer.
This is the third time we have stopped there and they have continued to make improvements. Owners are friendly. We used Passport for the night 30 AMP pull threw site was $16.50. Walked the trails to the Crook River. Nice grass sites and level.
Sites need a lot of work leveling. One Motor homes front wheels were totally off the ground. We went to two different sites to find one we could get close to level in without raising the back wheels off the ground. Many sites on the small size that would only accommodate a rigs less than 28'. Upper area from the lake on the left side would be hard for a big rig to get into steep entry road and trees. TV reception at best fair to poor with 4 stations. Ranger came around to collect and when asked about the increase in camping fees was surprised that I knew they had doubled the senior price. Overall too much traffic in the park both vehicle speeding and golf carts(carts without any lights after dark). Several sites looked like they were there permanently. Will not make this a stop over in the future at present price with sites so unlevel.
Very nice camp ground. We used Camp Club for 2 day and regular price for the weekend. Staff is friendly. Great catch and release lakes for kids along with hiking and play ground. Good location near Cabela, MI, short drive to Toledo, OH and Ann Arbor, MI.
No one at the office. They have an envelope to place money in, then go find a site. Most of the pull-thrus are 50 AMP and most sites have meters for seasonal. Those seasonal on sites had clothes lines, some in need of cleaning and looks more like a old mobile home park then a campground. Bathrooms the only thing open and were not being kept up. For a Good Sam park it needs a lot of attention.
The rec room is presently closed for remodeling. Nice laundry room with new machines. Small friendly quite park with a mixture of retirees and working individuals. We are staying monthly at under $500 which includes full hookups and cable. There a few over night sites but call first since the office closes at 5PM and on the weekends.
A little hard to get to since there is a bridge repair going on. Very nice camp ground with friendly staff. Very clean and well kept. Very pet friendly and quiet. Good water pressure and clean bathrooms. We will stop here again.
Office looked like a junk yard. Had a pit bull tied outside the trailer barking. Were motorcycles and trucks with loud exhaust at all hours. Some permanent sites looked like junk yards with a lot of old rigs.
