Park has many amenities, pool, espresso-ice cream stand, store, many activities and the river has a nice sandy beach. The problem is the tightness of the sites. There is no privacy at all and all you see from your windows is other rigs or tents. It is also the noisiest park we have stayed in. The quite time is 11 and there is yelling and screaming right up to 11. If you like no privacy or natural setting and don't mind the noise it is a great park.
We enjoyed our stay at Riverside. It was quiet and very nice. The real grass 18 hole putting golf course was very well kept and fun. It is only about a 2 minute drive from Whistler. We will come back again.
This is one of the prettiest and nicest parks we have been to. We have two kids and the large grassy areas for them to play were wonderful. The only reason it gets a 5 is that the trains came through at night and blasted their horns so loud we had to leave. We have stayed at many parks were the trains come by and you hear horns, but this was unbelievably loud. The train is about 50 yards from the sites. I spoke with the Oregon Parks and they told me that the Union Pacific drivers do it for fun and we should complain to them. We would love to go back but the noise was too much.
This park is very run down. Sites are very close together. Site did not have 30 amp power and I did not see any full hook up sites although they say there are some. The power went off at our site and we were told someone would come out and fix the problem, but after 45 minutes, no one showed up. It was 101 degrees and we left.
