We were parked in a big open field with full hook-ups. Our location did not have a patio or any kind of shrubs to separate the spaces. You were back to back and side to side, very narrow roads. Not very impressed with the set-up. Lots of permanent/snowbirds residents, rate reflects a week's stay. Cable and Wi-Fi worked well. We would stay again just for 1 or 2 nights. Really enjoyed Marion County Market, it is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Really fresh vegetables/fruits, good prices, very clean, and lots to choose from.
The rate reflects an internet special for $99.00/week. We were parked in the newer section that had just opened up. It was a long/level pull through with full hook-ups including great WiFi and cable and mature trees. Nice clubhouse and pool, lots of activities. They will soon be adding another entrance into the park, either one is really easy to access. This park is only 18 miles from Gainsville. There is a Horse Retirement Ranch not far from the park, they are only open on Saturdays, and the admission is 2 carrots or 2 apples. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice park, very well laid out for easy access. Paved sites and beautifully landscaped. Cable only had 12 channels, could not get Wi-Fi, it was a problem with our computer. Very close to Cedar Key, about 6 miles. We had a problem with a tree when we put one of our slides out, they immediately sent over a gentleman that trimmed it. Easy for any size RV to park. Need to bring plenty of supplies, kind of far away from grocery store.
We stayed here for the month of January. Best park in the area (several new ones have opened). Level, good cable and Wi-Fi. Excellent hosts, they really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of activities at the park. One of the cleanest parks we have stayed at. Located on the sound with a new dock built, beautiful sunsets. Just a short drive across the bridge to have access to the ocean. Favorite restaurant close, Cactus Flower, delicious food, reasonable priced. The park is really convenient if you want to visit Pennsacola or Destin.
Usually stay here one night on our way south for the winter season. Level pull-through's, good cable and Wi-Fi, quiet, very easy access. Camp host helpful, in the past we paid without seeing anyone; however, he was available this time and even parked us. Flying J at the same exit if you need fuel. Several restaurants nearby.
We planned on spending one night here, the winds were so bad we decided to spend two nights. It is okay for one night if you enjoy Wall Drugs which is within walking distance. There is not much else to do in the area.
