Does not live up to it's advertisement. It is definitely not a gateway to Yosemite Nat'l Park. The I-5 traffic noise is constant. Dusty gravel roads and spaces and the grounds crew is not too concerned with campers. Mowing the grass with a gas powered weed whacker at 8:00 AM.
The campground is OK, I would normally recommend it. However, it is advertised as having cable TV and it did not provide it, and the response was ho-hum, our provider is switching from analog to digital, so tough! The bathrooms are nice. There are rails adjoining the property and they were operating early in the morning through the day through switch gears. Our dog was severely wounded in unfortunate encounter with another dog and we left a day early. Although they advertise no refunds I would think there would be consideration for extreme circumstances.
This is a most impressive park. The bathrooms and showers are first class. We stayed one night in a transient site and were subjects to noises from work activity in the Safeway store, the garbage compactor being operated late at night and early in the morning. Traffic noise was a little surprising but these complaints do not stop us from giving nothing but a compliment to the facility. Nice place.
