We love this campground! It's a very family-friendly facility with sites on the bluffs overlooking Lake Georgetown. The bathrooms and showers are okay (nothing great but clean). The sites are fairly large. We camped in our 34 foot class A motor home and our kids stayed on our site in a large tent. There was still plenty of room at our site. The sites closest to the lake fill up early on weekends so get to the park early if you want one of these "premium" sites. The view from the bluffs is quite lovely!
Though we were only here for a few days, we will return to this park if we're in the Lakeland area again. The park is a large and busy park but the sites were large and the many long term residents were extremely friendly. Shortly after we arrived, some of our neighbors stopped by to introduce themselves and say hello. We had little interaction with the staff other than at check-in where they were nice enough. We found the park, restrooms, and laundry to be well-kept and clean.
We spent one week at this park. The park itself, and the owners, were nice. The location is convenient. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry were clean. Maintenance personnel were readily seen working throughout the park. The pool and pond were both lovely. There were many activities scheduled, i.e. movies, bingo, etc. But, we were not comfortable at this RV Park. There are many permanent homes, and there were lots of "snowbirds" in the park while we were there. The sites are level but are close together. Overall, we felt there was a lack of privacy and a little like we were "outsiders" given we were only at the park for a short time period. I did not see many children at this park and feel it is better suited for longer term, senior campers.
This was our first visit to Fredericksburg RV Park and we enjoyed our stay. The rest rooms and showers were clean and private. Our gravel pull-thru site was level. Because we were with a group, we used a private activity room which was very nice. The campground front desk manager was accommodating and helpful. The park location is ideal...close to town, Wal-Mart, etc. Aside from the music playing all night by a business next to the park, our visit was great! We will stay at this park during future visits to Fredericksburg.
We stayed in a pull-thru "Regal Row" site at this RV park. The view of the Laguna Madre Bay was beautiful from the front window of our RV. The sites were all rock and grass is limited throughout the park though we did have a small grassy area in front of our RV. The staff was extremely helpful in every way! The park is dog-friendly and has a sandy dog walk area along the bay. There is a restaurant on site. The food was as good as that served at most of the island's other restaurants. The bathrooms, showers and pool were clean. There is a playground for children and a lovely deck for viewing the sunset. The on-site gym workout room and lounge area were attractive. Our visit was during the off-season so we had lots of room around our site; however, the sites would probably have felt close together if we had had other campers on both sides of our RV. I would recommend this RV Park to anyone visiting South Padre Island. There are activities for both adults and children.
We enjoyed our stay at LaHacienda RV Park. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The park is very well kept and extremely clean. The showers and laundry were immaculate! Though the park is now small with 60 back-in sites and 6 cabins, and has primarily adult campers, they are in the processes of expanding to include about 190 new sites. I would recommend this RV Park for adults visiting the Austin area.
We were disappointed in the facilities at this campground. The bathrooms and showers were far from clean and in disrepair. The sites were VERY close together and concrete pads were chipped and broken. We do not recommend this campground and will never stay here again.
We recommend this campground and enjoyed our visit but would suggest selecting one of the paved sites on the hill although not all of these sites are level. Specific sites cannot be reserved ahead of time so you'll need to arrive early. The park and facilities were very clean and well maintained. There is a cafe on the hill and a pool at the bottom of the hill. Free paddle boat rentals are available. Golf cart and canoe rentals were also available for a fee. There was no Internet. The scenery was beautiful. We were, however, disappointed that during our stay, everything closed at either 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm including the cafe, pool, ranch attractions, etc. But, we will stay here again.
We loved this campground! All facilities were clean and convenient. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. The campground has a small duck pond and lots of shade trees. We recommend the upper, back-in sites to avoid road noise. We will definitely visit this campground again!
