Good location, we had a view of the bridge. The lots were small, the only dumpster was located at the entrance to the park, the mosquitoes were horrible, the restrooms and showers were on the other side of the park. The lot we stayed on had no fire pit so we had to get one from the office and it resembled an oil drip pan. We had to purchase granules to sprinkle around the campsite just to be able to enjoy the outdoors. We were already using citronella and thermo cells. It wasn't enough. The only sandy beach was on the other side of the park even though we had Lake Huron directly in front of us we were unable to use that part of the beach. It was to rocky for small children. The roads in the park were confusing and probably could be marked a little better. However, the park was clean.
A Hidden Gem!! Wonderful place to camp. The campground staff was very friendly and always ready to help in any way. Campground host was awesome! The lots were fairly large and were shaded. The area was quiet. We would definitely camp there again!
We had a large site on the end of the row. Lots of shade and room to run. The park is family and pet friendly. There was a lot to do on the water. The swimming area had a few water trampolines and a slide going into the water. It was too cold for us to take advantage of this. They also offer watercraft rentals (peddle boats, canoes, pontoon boats). We did rent a paddle boat for an hour for $7.00. We had a lot of fun out on the water.
