Very friendly staff; wonderfully clean, large pool; crummy drive from the road to the campground entrance; spacious lots; rates high but as a privately owned campground acceptable. Yep, we'll be going there again sometime next season. My husband just remarked: Once we were set up, it was lovely!!

It's mostly a no frill camping park. There is a playground for the kids and also a bit of a game room. But the best part is the water, of course. It's by the mouth of the Nanticoke River and the Tangier Sound. If you love the water, you love this campground. It's mostly for permanent campers but the best lots are open and by the water. Bring your bug spray, though, and have good screens. The insects can be tough to deal with.

It's odd that this park does not have an online reservation system. You either have to go there, or send a check, and even then it is not guaranteed that you get the site you really want. Our luck was good, though, and we camped by the water. The campground is clean, but the pool had unidentified debris floating in it. I wasn't too happy with that being used to our sparkling clean pool at home. Camping (and kayaking/bike riding) is great on the island/ waterways/ campground!

We absolutely love this campground. And we will be back again next October for sure. Making reservations is somewhat tricky due to the lack of an organized reservation system. When we arrived both lots we had reserved were occupied, one by a motorhome that was just parked there. Disappointing, but we accepted the situation and made the best of it. We love the river and the tow path, and take the noise of the railroad in stride. It's part of it. Overall, it was again a fantastic vacation.

We had a great time at this campground. Granted the hump over the railroad made the back end of the motorhome scrape the road. That always worries me. The tow path is narrow but we had no problems. There's only one bath house but it seemed clean, only a few shower mates I noticed (daddy-long legs). No big deal. The view was fantastic, and the help of the campground manager was absolutely great. It's run by the town of Brunswick. Oh, yes, we'll be back every fall; the KOA in Harpers Ferry has lost our business forever!!
