Nice state park. We arrived on a Thursday. The entire park may have had 6 campers. Very quiet. But come the weekend, the whole parked filled up. Lots of families. Great hiking trails. Sites are spacious. Costs are high in WA state parks, in my opinion.
Second time we have stayed here. Very nice, clean, and well manicured. Staff are very friendly. Sites are a little tight. Dedicated DSL Internet connection is a nice addition. If you don't have an Ethernet cable, they will provide one for a $20 returnable deposit.
Not a bad little park. Right on roadway with no fencing. Road noise but does quiet down at night. Although logging trucks start rolling by around 4 AM. We were expecting a higher weekend rate but were pleasantly surprised to be told our entire time was at $25/night. Then found out about the rally car race over the weekend with the casino as the home base. Pretty noisy with the cars coming and going. Maybe that was why the rate was lower than expected. The park has a few big rig friendly sites (get #9) but most sites are for pretty small travel trailers. Nice wide sites with lots of grass. Wifi was slow during normal use hours. Laundry and bathroom facilities very nice. Wash/dry was $0.75 each. Wow! Good time to catch up on all the wash. Overall, good experience. Would stay again but thank goodness for the white noise machine we carry. It was needed over the weekend.
Rate was Passport America. We just stopped for the night. Office staff very friendly. She put us in Space 2 and directed us to park at an angle into Space 1 so we would not have to disconnect. We were very appreciative of that. Went for a walk along the canal in back of the park. Nice place to stretch the legs. Did not use the bathrooms but did check them out. Looked very clean. Nice large laundry as well. A little dusty since the park is all gravel. Lots of TV over the air. Many Spanish speaking. Of course, you can practically throw a rock into Mexico. We would stop hear again.
Nice Elks. Need to be a member. We stayed in the full hook-up section. Watch the water pressure! Pretty high. Some road noise from the nearby 101, but not bad at night. Good location to explore the area in between Paso Robles and Santa Barbara. Found some fun wine tasting in the Foxen Canyon area. We would stay here again.
OK, a little more info is needed to find this place. There are no signs for the park but you can make the assumption you are there when you see the ball park and the rodeo facility. No signage about the RV hook ups. We gambled and pulled into the park (directly across from the People's Church parking lot) drove around back and spotted 8 hook ups not 12. Also these are only pull-thrus IF there is room to pull behind and face out. No one was here so it was easy but if other RV's present, it will be a problem if you want to avoid unhooking your tow. Ground was rough and not level. But...good power, water, and sewer. Will work for an overnight but not much else in my opinion. Honor system self pay.
Nice wide sites. Very clean. We were hit by a severe thunderstorm with over 85 MPH winds the first night. It knocked out power, downed trees, and tore off our 15' slide topper. Even though owner and staff were very busy with trying to clear trees and debris, they immediately helped with removing the damaged slide topper. Staff is very friendly. No power for 48 hours but not their fault. Whole area was out. Even with all that happened, this is one of the best KOAs we have stayed at. Highly recommend to all.
Rate is based on a weekly rate. Staff was friendly at check-in. Some of the interior roads are in rough shape and narrow. Broken, heaving asphalt mixed with gravel. Roadways and sites do not have clear separation. Hard to tell where one starts and the other ends. Our site was a tight fit for our coach. Good power and water pressure. I would probably stay here again but only after checking out what else was available.
This is a very nice park. During the check-in, the hosts (who were extremely friendly and welcoming) made some recommendations for eating out. You have got to try Big Boys BBQ. Yumm! The grounds of the park are beautifully maintained. Our space was very nice and roomy. All of the lake front sites were already taken. I would recommend one of those if you get the opportunity. We stopped here for two nights encounters to Knoxville. Next time we will stay here longer.
Quiet Park. Sites wide enough for slides. Lots of rabbits and their little pellets. Since the roadways are all gravel and dirt, it was pretty dusty when traffic passed or the wind blew. Wi-Fi was not good. But my Verizon Mi-Fi was fast. Near Ft Collins fantastic bike paths. Loved Fort Collins. A little spendy. I would stay here again.
Great location to visit Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado, and Pike's Peak. A little disappointed in the site. Could not get level without front tires coming off the ground. The sewer hook up was right near my neighbor's front door. I think the price does not reflect the amenities or the quality of the park. I would stay here again if the price was lower.
I thought this was an OK park. Not fantastic, but adequate. I may try the another park in the area next time to compare. Site was hard to level the coach on. Required some moving around. All gravel roadways so some dust with passing vehicles or wind. Most sites look fairly narrow. Water pressure fine most of the time, but did drop substantially now and then.
Cable TV snowy. Laundry only has 4 washers and dryers. People waiting in line. $2 wash/$2 dry. Most expensive in our travels. Nice wide site at E-11. Water pressure fluctuated but good when at full pressure. Train noise a little bothersome at night. Beautiful flowers. We would stay here again.
Gravel site and roads. A little dusty. No shade. Easy access. A little pricey for having no cable TV. Charges an extra $2.50 for 50 amp. A good stop-over location. Check out the Hot Springs Resort next door. Would stay here again.
Rate is weekly and includes tax. Very nice "resort" style park. Nice site overlooking the golf course. Quiet at night. Great hook-ups and the concrete pad is huge! Laundry facility was very clean and includes a change machine. Counter staff very friendly and provided good recommendations for local dining. Cable TV was very good. I would stay here again.
Friendly Staff. Nice park but pretty tight in the roadside section. Narrow sites if you have multi-slides, and the roadways are very narrow. Love the bike/walking path to town. A good location despite the narrow sites. I would stay here again.
Overall experience was good. Cute setting around a small lake. Lots of waterfowl (lots of goose doo). Grass adjoining pad is unusable because it is so sloppy wet. Poor drainage. Cable TV is a little snowy. I would stay again.
I am in my 5th day of a week-long stay. This is as good as most all the other reviewers say it is. I would rate this one of the nicest places I have stayed in. Very clean and quiet. Lots of flowers and well manicured grounds. Friendly staff. Great bathroom facilities. The rate is the total bill (including tax) divided by 7. Includes 10% Good Sam discount and if you pick up a free Players card at the casino, another 10% is deducted. Nice place. I would come back.
I was surprised at the high reviews given to this "resort". This is the first time we stayed here and probably the last. Very cramped spaces for the premium price paid. Cable TV signal very snowy. Lots of people who stay up late and apparently do not know how to quiet down in the evenings. Internet was so slow, it was actually unusable. I just don't get the draw to this place. To each his own.
Great little find. You park on grass. Good wifi (fast), cable tv, and quiet after they close the park for the night at 8 pm. Little league baseball played on the adjacent ball field but is over by 7-8 pm. Ducks and geese down by the lake really like you if you have some bread for them. Since the parking lot and park is open to the public, we did see a few sketchy people around but no one bothered us. We would definitely stay here again.
