I have been here many times throughout the ownership changes. KOA has provided a major improvement to the RV experience. The lodge continues to be top notch but not of much interest to us. Check in is now better with a Kiosk. The general store is more for novelties and less helpful for RV related items but very nice. Just a heads up that the water pressure is quite high so bring a pressure regulator. Our family enjoys this place and the surrounding towns, beaches, and trails. It just seems to get better unlike many campgrounds I have been to.

My second visit to this park in past two years. Now under improved KOA management. The location on Monterey Bay is hard to beat when wanting to visit Santa Cruz(North) or Monterey(South). The staff was friendly and efficient. This is a small park well cared for but tightly spaced with first rate utilities. No views to speak of but has the sounds of the nearby harbor and is literally walking distance to the beach and fun restaurants. Pet friendly. Now has it own bathroom and showers that previously were shared with the next door marina. The rating is reflective of the tight spacing and lack of amenities, pool and play area, etc.

This is a picturesque naturalist oriented park that can accommodate about 30 30+ foot RV's with 30A power. Has unique circular parking arrangement with electric only at each site. You can fill potable water at office. Office and general store has limited hours. Dump available. Lots of wildlife wandering through park. I have been here during Summer and the Park Rangers give great evening talks by firelight. Very quiet. Seasonal pool. I like this park, but can understand why others wouldn't.

This is a park in an attractive setting. Small creeks and ponds run through the park with horse pasture and Mt.Shasta near by. Most sites were wide but not all. Good shade. Some leveling needed on my grass site(111) and adjacent sites but the concrete padded sites looked fine. No real general store but town is very close. No WiFi is a notable neg. Facilities were spotless. Hookups were in good working order. This would be a great park if traveling with a group. I'll go back.

Great RV park for adults. No pool or jacuzzi. As a destination park in the Montana summer in this price bracket this is a big draw back. Sites are ideal and hookups first rate. Bathrooms spotless. This is NOT the most entertaining park for children after touring Yellowstone all day or a long days travel. Club room is one air hockey table and TV games on one TV. No organized activities at the park. BTW, add resort tax, accommodations tax, sales and use tax to the rate. You know, as much as I dislike KOA's I would give West Yellowstone KOA a second look if you have children.

I needed an overnight stay in area and dropped in here. I wouldn't do it again. There are many other overnight options in area at half to one third the price. That being said, this is a well run resort-like KOA. Pretty isolated. Bring your credit card you will give it a work out!

OK overnighter. Gravel throughout. I had no problem with 29' MH. The office was clean although a bit smoky from the adjacent bar/lounge. Simple continental breakfast included. Staff was friendly. I would return if I needed a place to stay overnight.

Good overnighter. Quiet. Similar comments as prior. Clean well cared for restrooms and laundry facilities. Secure restrooms. Friendly staff. I would return. Nice looking jacuzzi... didn't get a chance to use it. Gravel sites with grass between.

Stayed as overnighter but it's really a destination park. Golf and boating. Friendly helpful staff. Sites were level with gravel. Easy in and out and adequate space. Has a nice pool and hot tub.

Overnighted here in April after an all day drive. That's what this park is best for. Not a destination. Staff friendly. Guided entry to site. Quiet. Fenced. Pools looked clean but were closed. No specific pet area. Gravel sites. Shaded. Key entry bathrooms were just ok. My "8" rating is relative to other overnight parks.

This park was 4 weeks new when we stayed in April, 2006. It is still in the process of being completed. You can use the associated hotel pool and facilities. Free shuttle to hotel and train station otherwise, about a three block walk . Wide and paved big rig friendly spaces with first rate hook ups. Bathrooms and laundry facilities very clean. The park staff is also new and not that experienced. No security to speak of. No specific dog area to walk fido. The place is a bare parking lot with 5 gallon "trees" and lava rock between spaces. Nothing for children in park. This eventually will be a first rate park. It is a half baked cake at this point. In a year or so this will likely rate higher.

This is a small compact recently remodeled park which can accommodate big rigs. Spotless and well cared for. The managers are extremely pleasant and helpful. Tight level spaces and no shade. No pool. Small but efficient general store on site. It is all about location on this expensive Monterey Bay. Very conveniently located between Santa Cruz and Monterey. Pet friendly. Walking distance to beach. We won't hesitate to return.

We were there during the off season. Daily temperatures in the 110+ degree range. Friendly staff. Not much shade. Most of the facilities were closed due to off season. Nice pool. It will be a repeat park for me when I am in area. Probably quite nice in cooler weather.
