A former Provincial Park but deteriorated since turned over to private owner. The road to cg is paved but interior road is a disaster. I drive part way in and viewed sites which were unfinished and unkempt. It reminds me of a gravel pit surrounded by trees. I wouldn't take my RV over the roads and certainly wouldn't stay. I don't know the price but whatever it is would be too much.
Very busy with lots of children. Located in centre of Antigonish and within walking distance of shopping. Staff were young and inexperienced; definitely not RV'ers. Sites were close together. Cost were too high for services I want. I will only return if children are back in school and there are off season rates available.
Nice park with good views of water. Very close to Newfoundland ferry and best park to stop while waiting. Shopping is close by and if you like fish and chips, a stand is on the park property. Owner is friendly. We will stay again.
A decent park off the Trans Canada highway; quiet and relaxing. Staff were younger and not campers. It provides the basics and its attraction is its location to Corner Brook, a 10 min. drive. Will likely stay again.
Not an attractive park, small and difficult to navigate when a few rigs present. Owner is very friendly and helpful and will do whatever it takes to accommodate. Washrooms need upgrading. Excellent location in a truly beautiful town with nice cafes and crafts. A 5 minute drive to historical Cupids. Yes, we will stay again.
Lovely park located about 10 minutes from ferry to Nova Scotia. It's basic with treed sites. Road into park is several kms, but worth it. Good bike ride to ocean beach and fishing. I like this park and will stay again.
Very nice park for short or long term. Large sites with plenty of room and space between sites. They cater to large groups and do it nicely. A great location to rest up after the ferry ride from Nova Scotia or a nice place to overnight to take the ferry next day. It has a very nice craft store with excellent prices for local hand made goods. Staff are excellent and will bend over to help a visitor. We stay there every trip to NL.
A decent park for a night or two. Entrance signage is small and easily missed. A municipal park with helpful operator. Not a lot of services available in area, but well worth a stay if traveling and looking for local activities. I would stay again.
A decent park located on height of land with excellent ocean views. Staff are friendly and park is clean. Park has cabins and conference facilities and washrooms are located there. Small laundry facility. I highly recommend this park for scenery, bird watching and near very good boat tour companies. I will be returning whenever I visit St. John's.
Located on Trans Canada Hwy (TCH) about 30 minutes from St. John's. Basic services and Wi-Fi located in office. Not much of anything else offered. Good for stop over or visiting St. John's or some smaller communities nearby. Price should be a bit less.
Nice, clean, open sites park with excellent Worker in reception. Close to Placentia and excellent for anyone taking Argentia ferry to Nova Scotia. Recommended for anyone wishing to visit Cape St. Mary's Bird Sanctuary. WiFi can be found nearby. Washrooms are excellent. Price should be $20 -$25.
Located in City of St. John's and close to all attractions. Easily accessible. Signage in park is poor and visitors easily pass the entrance and are forced to turn around in maintenance yard. Office Staff are young students and know little or nothing about camping or leveling a RV. Sites are spacious and cut out of the forest. Pleasant for camping but loops 1 & 2 are not suitable for motor homes. Loop 4 has WiFi and suitable for big rigs but we were quoted $56 daily with no discounts of any kind. Laundry is dirty, expensive, and several units were not operative. Park is owned by City which charges much more than it is worth. It's only real benefit is the location in one of worlds nicest cities. Signs make visitors aware of theft but more likely a lawyers attempt to relieve park of some liability. I'll return when prices reduce.
We stayed here with Thousand Trails membership; no charge. Park was very nice and sites were level with slight rise to enter. Had full services and staff were friendly for the most part. Park was quiet and people controlled their pets; no barking dogs. Sites were gravel. Large field where cranes visited. Nice clubhouse with some activities. Park is very close to shopping and services. Although close to hwy 44 traffic noise was limited in back section. The WiFi is Tengo and is AWFUL and very expensive ($5.95/day). I would rate the campground higher except for WiFi. We bought T- Mobile hotspot for internet. We would definitely stay again but only if we have our own internet connection.
Entrance looks great. Some RV's here are unsightly and not maintained giving CG a bad look. Staff is friendly. Lots of birds and turtles in river. WiFi is Tengo and very expensive ($5.95/day). Staff does NOT control barking dogs during day, and this is a real turnoff. Park has 30 amp. It is located close to state park, grocery stores and other services. Very quiet and restful at night. Some activities most days for guests. I would come again but only if WiFi is improved or included in price. We used Passport America.
Camping area is new, about 1 year. Sites are large with no trees. Roads are nicely paved. The office is well in past the camp ground and road is rough, very narrow and broken. It would be very easy to damage camper or car tires on the edges of the asphalt. Visitors should park in new campground and walk to office. Suwannee River had risen 15' when we were there and threatened to jump banks to some buildings. No danger of flooding in new area, though. Owner is very friendly and helpful and despite the need to work hard to prepare for the incoming flood water they concentrated on their guests firstly. WE would very definitely stay there again for a nice, relaxing and quiet rest. Higher rating would be warranted if they can fix the road to the office.
This is a decent enough campground for a day or so. There isn't much activity available for longer term. Lots of geese and ducks around the CG. Lady owner is friendly and helpful. Sites are stone/gravel with grass and are level but are not well groomed. This cg is older and not getting a lot of attention. Exit road is pretty rough. Wifi is $3/day which makes the total cost of $25 a bit pricey. The setting is off the highway and it's quiet which is it's main attraction for me.
Small park with small cramped sites. Close to highway and some traffic noise. Amenities are few for the traveler; perhaps it offers more activities for a more permanent stay. Wifi was terrible. Sites were not groomed or looked after. Staff were quite friendly. The beach is across the street and accessible if that is important to you. Stayed there on a recommendation but would not return. Vastly Overpriced for what you get.
We pulled into the park and immediately realized it was not suitable. There were no other RVers in sight, only full time older trailers and the place looked quite run down. There were speed bumps about every 50 ft. which is terrible for driving a motorhome towing a car. Access to the place was awful through a large construction zone. We did not stay and cannot rate the staff or facilities properly.
