I now see why this park gets such great reviews. The previous comment about it being "just a parking lot" is not fair. This is a very nice "parking lot" with some nice shrubs seperating the sites. We had a waterview lot and it was wonderful. Very reasonably priced. Forget the casino for food. The Whitecaps Bar and the Warehouse 101 were terrible. Lousy food and lousy service. The food at the Plankhouse was pretty good, but the customer service starting with the hostess was terrible. We found a great family owned Italian restaurant in Coos Bay called Little Italy. It was wonderful and reasonably priced. The owners are super! You must go there! This park is the best in the area. We will stop here again if in the area.
OK, this place lost it's majesty 50 years ago. It is basically a gravel parking lot with hookups. Sites are very narrow and not designed for coaches with slides. My wife's friend who was traveling with us checked out the bathrooms and said she would rather "go" in the woods. We did not use the bathrooms. This place is NOT PET FRIENDLY. There are signs everywhere saying NO PETS IN THIS AREA. There is no area for pets to go. The only reason I gave it a 2 is because it does have 50 amp service and the office staff are friendly and helpful. If in the area again, I would go to a hotel or check the local casinos to see if they have RV parking.
This place is my new favorite campground. The setting is beautiful among tall pine trees. Sites are the largest I have seen. Office staff is very helpful and friendly (although double check the directions given by the "elder gentleman" in the office). The bathrooms need to be updated and they should have more than one "john" for 57 sites. No cable or cell service. I would surely stay here again.
This is a great park. I don't remember there being a "spa" the last time we were here, but it looks wonderful. The bathrooms and showers are very nice. I wish there were street signs. It would make navigating the park easier. We would surely stay here again if in the area.
I wasn't expecting much from this campground but was pleasantly surprised. The park was easy to find. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The site was level and had plenty of room for the toad. Cable TV was provided. WiFi was provided. There are a lot of full time residents here but they were not an issue. There is a fenced in pet area and a grassy area for the pets to run and socialize if you desire. The bathrooms are in a little "red caboose" and are clean as are the showers. The only issue we had was the paved roads are in disrepair which makes driving on them very "rocky." We drove all the roads the night before we left to find the best one to use for exit. We would stay here again if in the area because we have stayed at the other park (next door) and prefer Midway.
What a surprise this park was. It is gorgeous. Tall trees, view of Mt. Shasta, well paved/gravel sites, level sites, cable TV. Worked by owners who are great. The bathrooms are being remodeled and will be beautiful when finished. A little tricky to find the entrance since the park is next to a Pilot fuel stop and the Pilot signage can be mistaken for the park signage. Also when you see the sign for the park you are not sure where to turn. I would have given a higher rating but the lights in the Pilot parking lot are very bright at night and then there is some noise from the trucks pulling in and out. We would surely stay here again if in the area.
This is a nice park. The views are outstanding. The office staff was very pleasant. The restrooms are clean although sometimes out of paper. Also, they clean the restrooms between 9 am and 10 am. Seems like an odd time to clean as they are busy at these times. The ocean front sites have the hookups arranged so you have to back in unless you have extra long hoses, etc. Seems like a waste of view to me. They have a nice pet walk and our site was very level. We would stay here again if we are traveling up the coast.
This is an outstanding park. The bathrooms are all new and very clean. The sites are all big pull throughs. The horses add ambiance to the experience but don't interfere with the campers. The views are wonderful and the sunsets spectacular. A little tricky to find. Don't follow your GPS. Call the office first for directions. Once you get his directions, it's easy. There could be a couple more signs at the main highway for guidance. The new owners are just great hosts. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
This is a very nice park. Fairly new, so the trees don't provide any shade yet. Nice level concrete pads. Grass at each site. New picnic tables at each site. Very friendly and helpful office staff. Separate pad for the tow. The only issue is it looks like they will have a lot of mosquitoes in the summer. There were swarms of bugs (which I believe to be mosquitoes) throughout the park. I wouldn't want to be here in the summer, if that's what they are.
There's not much to choose from in Cedar City. There are a lot of full time residents in trailers on the property. The site was not very level unless we parked at an angle, which we did. The speed bumps in the park are way too big!!!! Driving a motorhome over them is like a thrill ride. For this reason alone, I would not go back here. Also, there were dogs and cats roaming the grounds. Our dogs were crazy with all the strays roaming around. I will try the KOA down the street next time we are in the area.
This park is probably the best bet in this area. The lower portion of this park has a few long term residents. The site we had could have been a little more level. Otherwise it was ok. Had a little shade. We didn't use the bathrooms, showers or pool. The pool (indoors) looked like fun. Next time in town we will try the Wahweep Marina Park. It is so beautiful in the Wahweep Marina area.
This is our third stay in this park. We love it here. Staff is great. Showers are clean. Pool is great. Sites 38 through 43 have great views. Nice level concrete pads. Laundry is clean. We will stay here every time we are traveling in this area.
We stayed in the newer section (south side) of this park. They are trying to sell lots in this section. It is very nice with concrete pads, nice landscaping, and wide lots. You need a water pressure regulator because pressure is 110 lbs. I would not stay in the older section of this park. It is more for tent camping and people on a budget. Families mostly I would guess. From what I have heard from others, this is the best spot in Moab.
This park is just a big blacktopped parking lot. There are a lot of full time residents in trailers. The pet area is tiny. The trees at the sites are mostly evergreens and don't provide any shade. I thought I reserved a site with cable tv and 50 amp service but when I arrived I was told I could have one or the other (there were no 50 amp sites available with cable tv). It was so hot, I wished I had opted for the 50 amp service so I could have run both air conditioners. I won't come back here again. For that matter, I probably won't visit Reno again.
I agree with another poster that if you are in the first row, it is tight making the turn from the entrance. Other than that, this is a very nice park with clean bathrooms an showers, a very nice fenced in dog run. It is a short walk to the casino. The casino restaurants are great. The food is very consistent and well prepared. Nice indoor pool and spa and exercise room. The sites are all blacktopped with trees and grass areas for each site. The front of our site slopped somewhat which made it tough to level the coach if fully forward in the site. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here three nights in a pull through site with no sewer or cable. If there was wifi, they didn't tell us about it. The electric was 30 amp service. The campground is very attractive with clean showers and bathrooms. The location is great for visiting Mono Lake, June Lake Loop and Yosemite. We had several problems with our overall visit. The campground host was not polite or friendly, the site was not very level, and check in time is 1:00 PM. We arrived at 12:30 PM and were told we could not check in because work had to be done on the site. We did not witness any work being done on the site before we eventually pulled in. We were told we could wait in the driveway (or in the park across the street which we never found) but other rigs were pulling in and some would wind up out in the street. After looking for the park which we were told was across the street, we just went up the road and purchased fuel. By that time it was 1:00 PM. I would try not to stay at this park again. Problem is, there isn't much else in the area.
