Great little park located across the river from downtown New Bern. Fishing pond is small but fun. I saw one bass and the owners stated they just stocked the pond last week. So in a few months it should be better. They had an Easter egg hunt and bingo. The staff was very friendly and had lots of activities. Great little campground to bring your family. I would come back to this campground anytime.
Beautiful park. Not as many activities as your standard "themed" park. I wish the park had a water hook up, but there are sites that you can fill up your tank before you get to your site. Fish Creek is nice but make sure you bring plenty of money because it is expensive. Overall it's a nice park with lots of views. If you want to go hiking or mountain bike riding then it's a great place. I went with my parents who are not able to do these activities so it wasn't as good for us. I would return for the fishing though.
Great campground with lots of activities for kids. Sites were hard to get into with a 12ft pop up. Anything bigger than my camper would have been a real chore to get into. Staff was real nice, and the campground offers a lot of things for the kids to do. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they charge $10 bucks or so for a wrist band to putt putt and to use the jump pillow. Many campgrounds are going to this though so it wasn't a surprise. Really had a good time though and will return.
We stayed here over the 4th of July and had a blast. The staff was outstanding! You can tell they put in a lot of work. The male restroom looked newer than the female restroom. I don't know the condition of the female restroom but the male one always had hot water and was very clean. I didn't check the Wifi, as the point of camping to get away from computers and work. The kids had a great time on the jump pillow. Fishing in the pond was real good. I have $$ fishing lures and in the end my kid caught more with cheese hot dogs, go figure. The pond is real good to take younger kids out fishing. There is a petting zoo but I don't know if it was closed when we were there or I was just in the wrong spot. You can walk the fence and see the animals though. We had a real good time here. We would stay again and recommend it.
Path of Pines is located about a mile from Fish Creek on Cty Rd F. There is not a lot of activities located on the campground. Granted I stayed there in mid Oct. The small town makes up for the lack of things to do at the campground. Fish Creek has numerous shops and places to eat. Keep in mind it is normal Door county shopping and prices are high. Peninsula state park is near by and is worth spending some time looking at. Back to the campground. The owners were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Showers are free and had plenty of water pressure and hot water. Sites are very easy to get into. Overall its a good campground. I would like to see more things to do within the grounds though. If your looking to get away for a long weekend and a quiet place where you can get out and see some of Door county then I would recommend staying here. We would stay here again.
We stayed here because I had 2 free nights from where I bought a camper. The weather was still cool at night and the swimming lake was not open yet (hey it's WI and cold here in April). Looks real nice though. The campsites were easy to get in and out of. The laundry and game rooms were not open yet for the season and you could tell the staff was working on the facilities. The staff was real friendly to myself and my kids. Well kept campgrounds. There is some construction going on at the entrance with a new hotel being built but I never heard anything. The workers do a great job of keeping the area squared away. Eagle river is a neat town and has a lot to see. I will return and look forward to seeing all the services open. I would recommend camping here if your looking for a relaxing, quiet time.
We camp here over the 4th of July and it was a packed campground. Even though there were so many campers the owners took outstanding care of the place. I made a last minute reservation and arrived at 10PM on Thurs. The owner came to the front after hours for me (without my asking him to) and showed me to my site. There was a fireworks show, good for a campground and you could tell a lot of effort was put in. Sat night was a live DJ dance. Everyone had a good time. Trash pickup went on time everyday. My kids stayed in the lake but the pool looked in good condition. I would recommend this campground to anyone and I know we will return. Look at the map on the website and try to get a lake side site opposite of the beach for a great view and lots of room.
On the brochure I got from the RV dealer about the campground there were people swimming and holding up big fish which leads you to believe there is water at the campground. Not the case. The campground is located 4 miles from the water on a small island. All that shoreline and they put the campground in the middle of nowhere. To get to the island it's about 100 bucks in ferry fees. Once on the island you start to see there is not as much to do there than where you came from. The staff was nice and it was easy to get a reservation. The island coast is beautiful and the water is clear and cold. I would like to rate this campground higher but due to the lack of activities, 5 is as high as I'll go. I would suggest to save the ferry ride money and stay somewhere else in Door County.
