This park should be ashamed of it's self. It was very hard to find. It is located on a split road so if you are on the wrong side, you end up in a residential neighborhood with very small streets. Our GPS put us here. The turn into the driveway is very tight with iron gates and brick walls to run into. There is no sign to tell you where the front gate is. The speed humps are often and very high. The RV Park is located in the back of the property and is all gravel. This is a mobile home park and should stick to that description. The office staff is very unfriendly showed no interest in us as we walked all around the office and pool area. She never said anything to us. The sites are gravel with no shade. If you want cable, you have to leave a deposit for at box from the office. We would not stay here.
This may not be the prettiest RV Park we have stayed at, but we were very comfortable here. The staff was very helpful and friendly to deal with. The site was level even though it was gravel as were the roads. It sits behind a old motel, but don't let that stop you. Like I said we were very comfortable here so we stayed an extra night. We would stay here again, anytime.
This is a very lovely RV resort. Everything is new. The sites are very nice, plenty of room. The pool is nice, but it was very cold. We couldn't stay in it for very long. The spa was luke warm. We were told something had broken and they were trying to fix it. The cable TV didn't work. When we reported it, they sent a man who said he didn't know anything about the cable TV. He brought a old piece of cable and tried to hook us up to the site next door. No site worked. He said it was our cable TV connection even though it worked fine 3 hrs. earlier. It also worked fine at our next RV park. We were told the cable co. was working on it; also was told no one else had a problem. I looked around at the other motorhomes, most had their antennas up or they had satellite. They also say they have onsite RV service. No more, they have a name of someone who might come to service your RV if you can get him to call you back. All-in-all this park looks great, but could use some fixing. This park is very easy on and off RT. 40. There is a truck stop right at the corner, but we probably would not stay here again unless we were traveling though for 1 night.
This is a very nice RV Resort. It is easy to get to, right off Route 10 on Rueckle Rd. The park consist of 3 sections. The 1st and 2nd sections are older mobile homes (which are being replaced). The 3rd section is for RVs. They have 2 pools. The one in the RV section was cool, indoors and with a spa. (Refreshing after all the too hot outdoor pools we had been in, in this record hot Texas weather.) The sites are gravel with a concrete patio. We stayed here for 1 week. Very nice, just watch the wind if you put out your awnings. Don't as this is Texas. The rate is PA.
This is a nice KOA Park just west of Lubbock on Rt. 27. The sites are good size for big rigs. They are gravel. The pool and spa are indoors. The pool was nicely cool for the record hot Texas weather. The store is nicely stocked and the staff very friendly. It's too bad KOA's are overpriced for what you get. Nothing different from more inexpensive parks. We would stay here again if we were in Lubbock.
This is a nice older park, it needs some TLC even though that didn't stop us from staying here for a week. The pool is closed because of some space issue with the County. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Easy in and out from Rt. 87 just east of Big Springs. Watch for the signs on your left, halfway down the hill. Don't worry if you miss it, as Wal-Mart is just a mile down the road on the right behind Taco Bell. We would stay here again.
If we could, we would give this park a 15. The park was very clean and taken care of. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would have stayed here longer, but we had to move on. The park has many workers living there (don't blame them, it's a nice park). They leave early but that was never a problem. To sum up, This is a very comfortable RV park. We would live here if we stayed in TX. The rate is PA.
If you are traveling on RT. 59 in Texas and need to stop: this might be the spot. It's easy on and off the highway, if you don't miss the exit. The restrooms were very nice and clean and the laundry was nice. The pool was green and cloudy and closed 2 of the days we were here. The sites were long enough. There are no trees or shade and the wind is constant, not always strong but constant. The staff was ok and helpful. All in all a nice place to stay the night. Watch out for the ducks and the parking police. Park how and where you are told. Our rate was PA.
This is a very nice RV Resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and everything is clean and well taken care of. The rate is PA. We will always stay here when we are in Beaumont. Park is easy on and off route 10 just south of Beaumont. Shopping is 9 miles away. It is right next to the Ford Sports Arena and Auditorium and Texas State Fairgrounds.
This is a beautiful RV Resort right next to the French Quarter. It is all new. Everything is clean and nice. The only negitive is the bathrooms didn't have A/C, which seems small, but with the humidity in New Orleans, the showers were hard to enjoy. Even though it is right in the middle of things it was very private and we felt very safe. Our rate was PA. I had a very hard time leaving here, my wife wanted to stay. We will stay here anytime we are in New Orleans.
We stayed here overnight. The park was nice. We didn't really go outside because of the fire ants and the very wet grass next to our RV. The staff said he knew about the ants. My opinion is if he knew about them he should have srayed before anybody got there. Other campers said they had stuff to kill them, so everybody knew they were there. We didn't use the pool, laundry or bathrooms. Our rate was PA plus $5.00 for 50 amp. We would try again if the ants were taken care of.
This was a great time. It was too cold for the pool but we did use the spa. The grounds were very well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great site. It is close to Washington, DC. The restrooms and showers were very nice and clean. The Star Cafe has great food at a reasonable price. If the weather was warmer, we would have stayed here longer and we will go back someday.
This park was a toss-up. The sites were very good size and secluded in the the trees. The pool was nice but didn't feel heated. The restrooms really need updating, that's all I'll say. The restrooms and laundry room have a push button security lock which at night in the dark you can't see what numbers you are pushing. Take a flashlight. This place really needs some TLC to make it a 10. Would only stay here again if it's updated or it's the only place available.
Very nice RV Park. The few residents that were still here for the summer were very friendly and helpful. The sites were comfortable, but very few. Most are modular homes. The pool was wonderful. They are remodeling it now. The laundry needed air conditioning. The location is close to everything Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Orlando and more. The only negative is the TV reception: very bad. You need a dish if you want to watch TV. We would stay here again.
The Great Outdoors was a very pleasurable stay. It is really a 55+ resort. The RV sites are very well kept. Everything is very well kept. Most of the full time residents were gone for the summer. We had a very nice pull in site with a view of one of the many ponds. We saw turtles, cranes and a alligator out our front window. If you are looking for family campground that you can hang stuff outdoors and roast marshmallows and sit by the campfire...keep looking. Rate we paid was for the campground. We did find out, you can get a better rate if you contact the site owner directly. Very enjoyable stay we stayed here 3 weeks and are considering moving here for good.
The campground was great place to stay. The sites were very big and very shaded. The roads were white sand but not messy. Everything was clean and kept up. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The office manger went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable (thanks). The park is very quiet. It is located on the Suwanne River. If you like peace and quiet, this is for you. Fishing and boating is right here. The only drawback was the nearest town is 9 miles away. The nearest shopping is about 30 miles away. So do your shopping for food before you get there. Our AT&T cellphones did not work and our AT&T Wi-Fi did not work. Other than that, it was avery nice 2 weeks. We will go back.
This is a nice park overall. The grounds were clean and the sites were good size. The pool was very nice, but very crowded. The kids young or old had no respect for the rules. In the pool and in the park. No one seemed to care. The bathrooms were nice except the stalls and shower walls made me feel like I was in a backyard outhouse. Galvanized walls with cederboard trim and screws showing. They have a gated entrance but the in side was always open and the exit was closed. We would not stay here again only because of the lack of supervision and control of the kids.
