Barrington Hills RV Resort has gotten a bad rap by some previous reviews. Are there lots of Park Models here, Yes. Are there RV spots available, Yes. Snowbirds, Oh Yeah! We found the Resort nice. The Staff friendly, We never felt like we were encroaching on the seasonal residents nor were we treated like intruders. Many planned activities at the clubhouse. Great place to walk or ride bikes. Close to restaurants and grocery shopping. Good power, water and sewer hookups. Our rate is based on a two week stay with a PPA discount for one week. Stay here again? Sure without a doubt. If you are looking for an overnight you should keeping looking. One week or longer? Sure, go own in. Hikers and pedal bikers check out the J. B. Starkey Wilderness Park. Great place to spend the day hiking and biking.

Good place to stay for a few days to visit the Lincoln sites around Springfield. Take the Campground Host recommendations on local attractions. They are very happy to help and suggest what to see and the best times to go. Full hook up sites in the grass on on the asphalt. The area lighting on the asphalt sites are very bright. Wi-Fi is strong. No road noise. If a Sunday or Monday arrival contact the Fairgrounds security, number on office door, to register and have the electric box unlocked. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Sites with plenty of room and shade. Nice place to ride bike or walk. Some sites have water and electric but some only electric. This campground is consistent with all other COE parks we have visited. We have never been disapointed with a COE campground and this one is no exception.

I agree with all the comments prior to mine. Very friendly manager. Nice place for an overnight or longer. Easy drive to White Springs and easy access to I-75. Very nice rocking chairs at the bath house in the center of the park. We will be stopping there again as we head north in March.

Ditto what everyone said before me. This was a great stay for us. We are big on COE parks and this park is equal if not better. The grounds were clean and manicured very well. The restrooms were spotless and the heaters in the men's room were very warm for a December evening. This is a very well planned and constructed park. You will not be disappointed. The park attendant made a special trip to our site to bring a Park and Red River Rec area brochure. Nice walk down to the COE office at the Red River Lock and Dam. Travelers note: DO NOT take Louisiana Highway 8 between Leesville and IH49 Exit 103. This road is not an RV friendly route. Go through Alexandria or take another route. Avoid La. 8.

Great place to stop and relax for a night or longer. Nice staff. Very nice walking path with lots of information on the area around the park. Great views in all directions and only 4 miles back to Carazozo. A couple of places to eat in town and only one grocery store. Bathrooms, at the Rec. area, maybe the cleanest I have ever been in outside my home. Several back in and several pull thru sites. Dump station easy to access next to restrooms.

Good overnight spot. Very friendly owner. All sites gravel and level. Good lighting through out site area. Great spot for sunsets. Full moon and clear skies the night we were there made for a pleasant evening. Easy on and off I-10 east and westbound. Appears some full time residents live there but all rigs are well kept. We most definitely stay here again.

This is a nice park which is consistent with "Resorts". Nice on property bike/walk paths. Some sites are a little close. Some long term units parked during season. There are lots of "in season" activities advertised. It is close to outlet shopping with trolley service coming through the campground on regular schedule.

Great campground. Very friendly staff in the office and the outside people. Nice RV supply store in office. Convenient to the town of Bath and Hammondsport and local wineries. Two full size RV sales and service centers also in Bath. Looking forward to our next visit. Be sure to dine at the Chat-a-while in downtown Bath.

Great campground. We always enjoy a stay at the COE parks. Park was quite full during the weekend and there was no problems. Rangers were ever present. We would definitely come back to this park.
