We met here for a week long family reunion, taking 6 site, and had a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially considering we had lots of small children running around. Close to the coast, Redwoods and a river. It's a beautiful park. The only complaint I have would be some stray dogs that wandered into camp and hung around all week.
As stated in some of the previous reviews I too believe this park is a bit over-rated. Although the staff was very helpful and friendly, the campground was no where near what I'd expected. We arrived after dark with another family and given our sites. We pulled into our site fine, but the sites were so tight that our slide-out was into the next camping area. Our friends had a large tree in their site and were unable to level their trailer. A positive point is that the staff moved us to another area and was able to keep us together. It was a bit expensive and the park allows extended stays, I'll say no more about that. We will probably not stay here again.
The only reason I'm not giving this park a 10 is because there are no full hookups. This is a beautiful campground. All the sites have grass, are big and have plenty of shade trees. The Rangers provide regular patrols for safety, and are friendly and helpful. The lake is beautiful. The fishing and boating is great. It was a 40 mile drive to Crater Lake NP, a must see. There were children activities throughout the week provided by the park. A nearby fish hatchery was a big hit. We stayed a full 7 days and were sad to leave. We will be returning and highly recommend this park.
This is one of the best RV parks we've ever seen. It was a nice drive in off I-5 and only 30 mins from Lassen NP. The park is clean and beautiful. It rained the last two days we were there and we didn't even mind. All the sites are big and covered with gravel, no mud anywhere. There were tent sites and cabins. The staff was polite and very helpful. We will return soon and highly recommend Mt. Lassen KOA.
This is one of the worst RV parks we've ever stayed in. I had read good reviews about this park and was really excited to try it out. It started off bad with the rude staff. The sites were dirty and uneven. I was never able to level our trailer. The pool was so disgusting my girls didn't want to swim. After all that it takes an hour to drive to Yosemite. We will not be returning and recommend you find another RV park.
This is an outstanding RV Park. The only reason we didn't rate it a 10 is because the beach was dirty (not the RV parks fault) and all the boat rental facilities were closed. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and upgraded us because the park was not full. The park was very quiet. We went to Disneyland the second day, which was only 30 minutes away. My girls loved the pool. We will visit again. Highly recommended.
