Beautiful area with a view of a lake across highway. Huge sites: long and wide. Wonderful place for families: has horse rentals, outdoor games (min golf, shuffleboard, basketball, fishing pond etc). Nice smooth surfaces for walking and biking. I was in this park on a Western Horizon membership: $3 plus $2 for electric and $2 for cable TV (4 channels). Probably most people aren't here to watch TV so that was OK in my opinion. Lots of activities in the Club House: looks well organized and well maintained. Pleasant and helpful person at check-in kiosk at gate. I definitely would return.
Park has great restroom/shower rooms: very roomy, private and clean. Look recently upgraded. Same with the laundry room. Nice long, graveled sites, with grass between sites, a picnic table and trees. Owner/manager is on site, friendly and helpful. Great location: just off I-80. Grocery store and post office is on the same street. Nice little town. Would have given rating of 10, but no swim pool! Definitely would stay at this park again. Used Good Sam Discount. Only complaint: Passport America directory says the discount is not good in July. On arrival, informed the discount not good in July, or August.
Nice clean sites, well maintained facility. Nice club house room. Hear some noise from I-80, but not a big thing. I knocked off points for the shabbiness of the 2 rows that had long term residents. Weeds in sites, junk sitting around outside, and in general looked shabby. I know RV parks probably need the long term tenants to keep afloat, but perhaps could have and enforce rules about maintenance of neatness of their sites. Helpful and friendly staff. I would return to this park. Stayed 3 nights: first 2 using Passport America rate, 3rd using Good Sam discount.
Great little store with RV supplies and groceries. Has a gas station on site, as well as a beauty shop! Restrooms and pool areas were very clean. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. All pavement, concrete and asphalt, so very clean, a treat after coming from remote campgrounds with nothing but dirt underfoot. Has a few trees. Not cheap, but a convenient location for day trips to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City and into Carson City. I am a solo traveling female. Felt perfectly safe in this park. Would definitely return.
Hedges between the sites allowed for max privacy. Beautiful clubhouse and activity rooms. Pool was wonderful: enjoyed the water aerobics. So many interesting activities although I didn't participate in many. Biggest and best laundry room I've ever seen. Beautiful golf course, can walk to it. Liked the mix of RV sites and Park Models: some are rentable. Had family staying in one, while I was in an RV site. Very convenient for all. I am a solo traveler and felt completely safe in this park. Gated, security patrols at night. Friendly and helpful staff. Can't say enough nice things about this park.
Great swimming pool and 3 hot mineral tubs. VERY CLEAN restrooms- in pool area and further away in the park. Same with the 2 laundry rooms. Interesting presentations (travel) several evenings. Had Easter eve dinner here and it was excellent food and reasonably priced. Pleasant and helpful staff. I would stay here if I could, even if I wasn't a Western Horizon member.
I like the sites-separated by hedges. 2 clubhouses, 2 pools and hot soaking mineral pools. There are nice friendly people at the entrance guard shack and in the office. It is a nice location - easy hop over to Palm Springs and the other area towns for shopping and entertainment. I rated park relatively low because of lack of house-keeping. Dirty walkways into pool area. During week I was there, out 2 weeks, then back for a week, the same band-aid was on the soap dish in the shower, and same razor cap on floor of the shower. Toilets looked like they were cleaned regularly. General pool/restroom area in lower clubhouse area in poor repair. Stuff laying around that needed to be nailed back up etc. Shabby looking. That having been said, I definitely would stay there again, using my AOR membership, it's a bargain.
I stayed for 14 nights as a Western Horizon member June-July and earlier for 13 nights in May. Park is clean and well cared for with exception of the roads needing some work. This did not interfere with my enjoyment. Has a lovely pool with organized activities. Was here over both Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays, and park had wonderful meals, fun activities for kids and adults, live music one weekend, and karaoke the 2nd weekend. An easy 5 miles into town of Ramona which has adequate shopping. Cool, quiet area. Easy hop further over into larger population/shopping areas such as Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Escondido. Very friendly, pleasant, and helpful staff. I surely will return to this park. I am a female, senior citizen, solo traveler. Felt very safe in this park and never uncomfortable at the activities being without a partner.
Has the basics: FHUs, laundry, and shower room. The bonuses: shade trees, 1/4 mile off Hwy 84, a few blocks to a grocery store and clean grounds. Manager was friendly and helpful. Referred me to an excellent Mexican Restaurant: Domingos. Also suggested the town museum, Aerospace Museum next to it, and the Borax Mine visitor Center. All were very interesting, and close by. Good place for an overnight stay and 1/2 day seeing the attractions in town and close by. Participates with Passport America for 1 night, and discount on 2nd night. I am a female, senior citizen solo traveler. I felt safe and comfortable in this park. I would use this park again for a stop-over .
