I got lucky and got switched to a site above the main campground (0-10 ). We had plenty of room, and the site was level unlike the slots that most short term campers get down below. We liked the site so much we extended our stay. If we had been down below, probably not. This park has some tight turns and is on several levels on the side of a hill. The in and out from the highway is a sharp S curve. Anything over 30' is going to be challenged. We would stay here again IF we could get the same site.
Easy access off of 80 and no road noise from same. Deep in the pine trees. Spaces are very tight. I had to measure and remeasure to make sure I had room to open the slides. Very quiet. Peaceful but needed a larger yard. Pet walk is too far away. Wi-fi is good, CATV is excellent. We would stay here again.
Best Wi-Fi I have ever gotten in an RV park. Phone service with Verizon was excellent too. No problems with noise that I noticed. Be aware that the grassy areas (yards) have lots of small burrs. They were easy to remove from our dogs' coats but they were a nuisance.
Very nice clean small park. We stayed nearly a week. Laundry was spend but very nice. Mostly motorhomes with senior couples. Some are staying all summer. Not a kid friendly place. We had a great spot. Quiet.
Right in Capitan, this park is tiny. There are about 10 spaces. If it was full it would be tight. Great WI-FI signal. Owner is very nice. We only overnighted but would come here again. The whole town is in walking distance. No cable but several stations on antenna.
I'm not a KOA member so my rate is higher, and it is Memorial Day weekend. Widely spaced sites, plenty of room for any large rig. We had tow vehicle trouble and had to stay an extra night. The park staff was very understanding and helpful. This is a large park. It is about 10 miles out of town. Quiet, no traffic noise. WI-FI was very weak at my sight which wasn't that far from the office. Expensive but a nice park in the desert. Cell service is also very weak.
Very nice campground but had lots of gnats and ants. I thought the price was a little high considering we had no sewer or WiFi and cell phone service was in and out. The river is a pretty steep hike and there didn't seem to be any designated paths to follow.
Campground is near but not too near the interstate. The pull through sites are long enough but we had a postage stamp sized yard and no picnic table. WiFi worked well. Value is good. Access to major retailers is close by. Ok for a day or two.
Some sites on a pretty steep hill with lots of trees to negotiate, mine was. Not many work campers here. WiFi worked but is weak in the back lots. Good shade in the back and excellent sites for satellite up front. Lot's of trains behind the hill and they run all night or I would grade this park higher. The sites in back are coarse gravel but adequately level if you can negotiate the trees. Power is excellent 50 amp in the trees.
Wonderful shaded campground far enough from I-90 that it is not a bother. Some construction is diverting traffic down the hiway by the camp, so the traffic volume was probably higher when we stayed than normal. Overall quiet and shady. We did not have sewer hookups at our site, so we had to use their dump station on the way out which entailed circling back through the park. All in all an enjoyable stay. We would camp here again.
Great park, friendly staff. You can get loads of information about the area from the manager. Well manicured. Pull throughs are level (we stayed on the backside). We had planned to move up the road but the weather got rainy so we decided to stay a few more days. This is not a place you want to leave.
This is an older park with trees with dead branches, perhaps they were frozen in the spring, anyway they need trimming. There are nice grassy yards and paved sites. It was uphill 30 feet to the sewer connection. The water faucet on our site was broken and we had to share with next door. The manager offered to supply hose if I needed it. There is friendly staff, and ice prices were good. With a little clean up and repair and I would rate it higher. We would come here again.
Wonderful campground with lots of space between sites. Just outside Custer SP which is a wonderful facility. Wi-Fi signal was weak and the price of ice was too high. The back in sites are not angled they are 90 degrees to the road. Fortunately, there is plenty of space between sites for mistakes. We would camp here again.
