Pulled in for an over-nighter at 6pm as Tropical Storm Debbie was off the coast near Tallahassee. Rain and Wind all night. Staff was very friendly and grounds were very nice. Smaller park but great for what we needed. Lots of shade from huge pine trees everywhere.
We stayed here after Christmas. Staying in the National Forest with tall pine trees is a nice change of scenery from most of Texas. Everything is well maintained. Roads and pads are paved, fairly level but may need a little bit of work. Park Host in Sweet Gum Loop was very nice and friendly. We stayed in site #31. 30, 32, 34 and/or 35 are very nice and back up to the lake with a short walk down a trail. Great place and we will definitely be back.
Very fun park for the kids. Lots of activities and great water park and pools! Sites are fair, not much shade or grass but lots of dirt. Gravel roads and pads, but ours was pretty level. Don't go for scenery or camping, go for the kids! Good camp store with everything you might have forgotten. Good free WiFi.
Nice park right on the river. Nice play area for the kids. Within walking distance of the Gulf beach. Caught fish right behind our trailer in the river. Two lighted piers as well. Stayed in #61 which is a back in site right on the water. They have huge pull through sites as well.
