The park is run by a friendly and accommodating couple who work hard to keep their new park clean and make sure their guests are comfortable. The sites are sandy but level and spacious. There weren't a lot of people there so crowding wasn't a problem. Located just outside of town but close enough and a short drive to White Sands and Cloudcroft. The daily rate is offset by the fact that you are charged for any electric you use over a certain daily level.

We stayed here for two nights. The park is pretty basic and located next to a farm and the smell of cattle permeates the air a lot of the time. The back-in site we got was big enough for our TT. Utilities worked fine. Didn't use the restrooms/showers but a quick inspection found them to be average as far as cleanliness and upkeep go. A decent enough park to stay and see the local attractions like the UFO Museum and Bottomless Lakes.

Price reflects Passport America discount. The park is on the main road just south of the town of Carlsbad. There was very little noise from traffic as the camp is set back a little from the road. The roads are gravel and sites are fairly level. Not exactly spacious but not too bad either. Electric, water and sewer all worked well. Didn't use most of the facilities but the laundry room was a little small, not enough machines and could use some A/C. We loved this park. Great park for dog owners as they cater for us very well. They even had a small fenced off dog run were we could let the dogs run around and play. One of those rare CG that gives you PA discount for every day you stay not just one or two days. We planned on being here for a week but ended up staying two. Owners are very friendly.

We just parked here for one night on our way to Carlsbad. Nice park with reasonable sized lots. Electric and water worked fine. Didn't have time to use the facilities but from what we saw they seem acceptable. Nice place for a stopover.

We stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed the park very much. The sites are pretty basic and some are hard to pull into especially if you have a larger rig. My advice would be to pay the park entrance fee and drive around and pick out an empty site that you like then go back and tell them which one you want.

We stayed at Colonia Del Ray for 5 months. The park is located within a short drive to the beach. It is a clean and friendly park. Sites vary depending on rig and price you want to pay, some concrete slab some gravel. The showers were very nice. Basically they are 5 or 6 small individual bathrooms with a toilet and shower and sink, all well maintained. Good laundry room with plenty of washers and driers. There is a clubhouse which hosts many parties etc. Office staff were friendly and helpful. Pool is nice and open most of the time. Free cable service with a decent selection of channels. Wifi is through Wireless Web and is patchy. Sites are fairly spacious and well maintained with electric, water and sewer. Some of the sites are located close to the main road and can be quite noisy. There is a small dog area but nowhere to walk the dogs except around the park.

We spent a month here and although it wasn't the best park we've stayed at it wasn't too bad either. The majority of the sites are gravel & grass and a good portion of them are occupied by permanent tenants. There is a Mexican cafe, clubhouse and pool in the park none of which we used. The bathrooms were OK. Mostly clean and fairly spacious. Laundry room had 4 washers and 4 driers reasonably priced and available. There is a nice park area to walk the dogs. The park is very quiet and we didn't experience any disruptive guests. The management were OK with us but we didn't really have much interaction with them. The site had 30 amp electric, water and sewer all in good condition and working as needed. The only complaints I have are in regard to the TV and Wifi. The Wifi is through Tengo and is kind of expensive ($30 month) for very slow service and the free cable service has 7 channels. I didn't even know cable companies had a plan with as little as 7 channels. Even bottom tier basic cable has about 50 channels. The park is located outside the city and is a good 20 minute drive to the city center.
