We stayed here for a couple weeks and were quite pleased with the park. It is close to Fountain Hills, where we were visiting friends. The casino across the highway was always busy when we drove past; however, we slipped in one night to grab a quick bite and found it incredibly smoky. (We had a bad meal in the cafe connected to the bingo hall, so I suggest trying some of the other restaurants.) The pool area, although we didn't use it, seemed to be in nice shape and was being used by others. There is a nice large office, that contains a pool table, various tables to sit at, and a nice sized computer room, with four computers available for use if you can't get reception from your campsite. There is a continental breakfast served here in the mornings, which consisted of doughnuts/coffee. My husband was very pleased with the exercise room, which he used every morning. The laundry room was good sized, but because there weren't many washers/dryers, it might get a bit crowded at times. But I used it in the evening and had the place to myself. Costs for laundry were very high, though--$3/wash and $.25 for each 10 minutes in the dryer. Machines were kept pretty clean. The people working in the main office were, for the most part, very pleasant. The grounds were nothing special. One of our neighbors was a bit upset that dog owners weren't picking up after their dogs. I noticed no trees in the middle of the park. And we will request a site that allows views of the mountains the next time we stay there. The park was continually full while we were there. But it was quiet in the evenings. The first site that we parked on was not very level. And there was an issue of uneven gravel around the pads--but apparently, they are planning on re-doing the gravel soon, so that should be a temporary situation. Wi-Fi service was touch and go. I couldn't even pick up a signal while on my own computer in the main office. All in all, we really enjoyed the location and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Phoenix.
We always stay here when in Vegas. The park has a lot to offer because of the proximity of the casino/hotel. There is a bowling alley, movie theater and several restaurants within the casino. Although we don't shop at Wal-Mart, there is one located just across Boulder Highway, within walking distance. The hotel has a free shuttle that runs to the Strip and downtown, but they have eliminated some stops since we were there last year. The area around the park isn't too bad, but you will hear sirens on and off because of the busy Boulder Highway. I have never felt afraid to walk within the park. Neither have I been uncomfortable wandering over to the casino or to the Eastside Cannery casino next door. But I probably wouldn't wander too far from the park after midnight. The park itself is not fancy--there are a few spots that have grass--but they are next to sites on the perimeter of the park. There are trees at some sites, but I don't really consider them shade trees. We have used the pool in the past, but we didn't use it for this visit. So I can't vouch for the pool area. The laundry room is not the cleanest one we have been been in, but the machines all seemed to be in working order. The people that we dealt with during check-in were pleasant, but not overly friendly. We do have two complaints about the park: The sewer hookups are not sealed--the worst system my husband has come across. The sewer smell can be quite annoying and downright nasty in the hotter months. The other complaint is the Wi-Fi situation. I really hate it when hotels/RV parks don't offer free Wi-Fi service. (If Starbucks and Borders Books can offer it, why can't these places. How much could it actually cost them?) I tried to sign up with there independent Wi-Fi service a couple years ago. I spent several hours on the phone with customer service, after pre-paying the fee. Eventually, I have to cancel it because I never could get it to work. Needless to say, I would rather head down to Starbucks than go through that frustration again. All in all, it is a nice RV park and we will continue staying there when we are in Vegas with our camper.
