I don’t get how anyone could rate this park a 9. . This is a little store a long way from anywhere with RV spaces, some have full hook ups including 50 amp power. The spaces are narrow but long enough to fit big rigs (we camped there in a 37ft 5th wheel) The spaces are small enough that you share your picnic table with your next door neighbor. Don’t even think about using the park showers! There are ants all over the ground in and around the spaces. Having said all that, there are very few options in this area and it will do if you are visiting Big Bend NP. It’s right outside the entrance but sill 35 miles from the Park Headquarters. The hook ups worked and the water even tasted good. Be careful when you are hooking up to the water and sewer. The hookups are below ground, I had to chase a scorpion out of the water hook up box. If you plan to stay here, lower your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.
Stayed here 2 nights, very clean and excellent customer service, I know good customer service when I see it and this place was very professional and helpful! Free cable tv with every channel except Premium (HBO) - enough to keep you changing channels. Convenient to RV Services, Sunland RV Service was just a block away and we used them to troubleshoot and repair our 5th Wheel. A+++ RV Park
Very nice park in a beautiful setting. Most sites have some view of surrounding hills, some views better than others. The area is very quiet, no traffic noise. While walking at night the only thing I could hear were the coyotes and an owl. Much of the area around the park is state land with good trails that will keep you out of the cactus. I hiked in shorts and sneakers and had no problem. The park staff and guests were very helpful and friendly. All the park facilities were clean and worked well. Great view from the pool. The only down side is Queen Valley is pretty far away from any big stores. Also, there is still no cell phone reception in Queen Valley. Great park, I'll be back.
This is a great park with just about everything you could want. About a third of the park grounds are open for pets. The park has a nice pet walk area including a large fenced in area where the dogs can run free. The park has a par 3 golf course that you can play with about three clubs in an hour or so. Good place to practice before playing the more challenging courses nearby. There is a little traffic noise from I-10 and some jet noise from the Air Force Base which is several miles away, but not enough to make us want to move. We stayed at Voyager all winter and will be back next year. I don't know what the park charges for a nightly rate.
