Wonderful place to stay on the North Coast! Restrooms are cleaned twice daily, and the campground and beach are kept clean. Campground staff are friendly and helpful. Summer weekends and holidays can be a bit crowded for some; we look at it as a chance to meet new and interesting people. WI-FI can be spotty at times, but a good connection can always be had at the picnic benches next to the camp store. Price is a bit spendy, but you do get full hookups, fairly level sites, and beautiful scenery !!! (Most of the riff-raff stay at the state parks elsewhere.) Can't imagine anyone being disappointed staying this KOA.
Beautiful park and campground. State parks has let maintenance on this park go down, though. The boardwalk around Lake Cleone has been broken and off-limits for over three years now, but a "much needed" (?) restroom near the beach (there is another about 150 yards away at Lake Cleone) was in high priority this last June 2011. In such high priority that the entire beach parking lot and headlands boardwalk was closed off during our entire week stay. Overall, a good campground to stay at, but state parks leave something to be desired as far as maintenance, planning, etc.
