First time at park, very impressed. We'd consider a seasonal in the campground if it wasn't so expensive. Campsites are fairly tight, but still feel spacious. Riverfront sites offer great views of the boat traffic. There are also bay side sites where you can pull your boat right up to the sites. Campground was very well maintained, location is great. La Crosse has a surprising amount of things to do. Fayze's for breakfast and Edwardo's Pizza for dinner are a must. Biggest negatives are no pool, bathrooms were just OK, and far away from most sites. Big rigs will have absolutely no issues here, and the paved parking strips and paved patios at most sites were great.

This park is HUGE. Not a ton of campsites, but this is a big place. Campsites are heavily wooded, so call ahead to verify that you can maneuver into your site. Not much open space on the sites, mostly dirt, very little grass. Lots of nature-related activities such as a nature center, hiking, scenic overlooks, etc. Convenient location to cities such as LaCrosse (very nice downtown area).

If you're a golfer, this is a great campground. 18 hole course on-site and is a very nice course. For the kids, there is a small playground and a pool. On-site bar and grill wasn't too bad at all. All of the spots are pretty small, no parking pads, just grass. Very few trees. Gets pretty crowded on weekends. Convenient location to several nice cities.

Campground had major floods a few years back, and they're just finishing reconstruction. Not many activities for kids. Not many activities under 15 minute drive. Nice swimming beach on river. Lots of great fishing opportunities throughout on river. If you're tenting, this park gets a higher score because the best spots back up to the river, but don't have electricity. Spots closer to the road do get some traffic noise from the State Hwy (2 lane).

Great park in a scenic area. Rolling foothills and rivers. Location is convenient to Preston, Lanesboro, & Harmony. Lanesboro in particular is a must-see. Campground is very clean and well maintained, but there aren't many activities for kids, which keeps the rating down. Plenty of hiking trails through park. Sites are not huge, but private and separated by trees. Only 23 of the sites are electric, and be sure to call in advance to verify if your rig can be easily maneuvered. Some sites are harder than others. Mystery Cave is a must-see, but costs extra and is a 10-15 minute drive from the campground.
