We stayed a week, which is the rate quoted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Next to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort and golf course. Sites are big rig friendly. Believe directions in your guides do not trust your GPS. Wi-Fi is good and the laundry is very clean and inexpensive. They have a game room, book exchange and a nice playground for the kids. They also have a small grocery store for last minute needs but there are two chain grocery stores in town.
This is the only park I have ever rated a "2". This park is a product of the economy. Only a couple sites had any sod. There were big ruts in the road and at either end of the sites which were not level. They started this park at the wrong period of the economic cycle. It appears they just gave up. It is adjacent to the busy highway. The one good point about the park is the Wi-Fi is included in the price and is strong. The best part is you can take the beautiful Logan Canyon Scenic Byway drive which is recommended. Bring cash or check. There are "no" showers, restrooms, laundry or even an office. They ask you call on your way in so they can send someone to your site to collect.
Very nice park which we would have given a 10 except they did not honor the rate they quoted when we made our reservation. They offered 10% discount for first visit of the year and the stay 3 nights pay for 2 which they advertised on their web site. They charge your credit card a $25 deposit at time of reservation. On checking in, we were told the 10% would not be honored as we were getting a night free. This would have been fine if it wasn't originally offered by the person who took my reservation. There are several taxes that add to the rate which is quoted on their website. All in all, a pricey place to stay. The resort is in pretty good shape. The grass at the sites could be in better shape. They warn you that there is no cable and they are somewhat knowledgeable as to your dish location on your vehicle and which sites are good for reception. It is pet friendly and have small dog runs. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is the nicest place in the area to stay. It is also big rig friendly.
This is a nice park that appears to be well run. 90% of the time the Wi-Fi was great. There are grass patios at each site. The laundry room though only 6 machines was immaculate. Friendly staff. The town is cute and everyone treats you like they are happy you are here. This resort is also pet friendly.
This is a very poorly designed park. Most people are only "passing through" and want to stay hooked up to their tow vehicle. The pads are very narrow and the hook ups are positioned in such a way that if you have a large Class A you probably won't hook up your sewer as it is so far behind your coach. The water hook up is such that you can't use a pressure regulator or a splitter. Your patio will be dirt as the pads barely accommodate your vehicle. Beware of sites with lamp posts on the ends if you have a big rig. We've stayed at this park twice and were upset both times by the set up. This park is definitely NOT Pet friendly. The cable TV though extra, was good and so was the free Wi-fi. If it weren't for the location we would avoid this park.
WOW! What a great Resort. A true big rig, pet friendly resort. Brand new and sparkling clean. They have all the amenities you could ask for. Pool, spa, tennis, basketball (half court) lawn bowling (soon) 2 laundries, large meeting rooms and an outdoor river viewing deck with comfortable chairs. They even have a pet wash area. There are also 2 enclosed pet exercise areas and walking paths around the park and along the river. Our pet felt as welcome as we did. No problem if you need a site and want to stay hooked up on a brief stay. The sites are not only long but wide. The river sites have dual hook ups for either front-in or back-in. The also have buddy sites. The staff is first class. There is a grocery store, video rental, card store, laundry and much more in walking distance. If there would be one negative, you are near I 5 and there is some road noise, though we didn't hear it inside our coach. Of course being close to I-5 is also a plus for accessibility. The Wi-Fi is strong. We will return.
Rate reflects after tax. Would Woodalls give this a 9 or 10? No. You will not find this park in Woodalls. What this park lacks in amenities they make up for in setting and the nicest staff you will find anywhere. If you want an absolutely beautiful setting,(on the river) 50 amp, sewer and water this is the place for you. The sites are gravel with grass patios designed for backing in but we were able to pull in, in our 40 foot coach to maximize the view from the inside. The owner - operators are very helpful (former RVers)who know the area and offer great ideas on side trips and dining. They offer free long distance calls as cell phones are out of range here. There is Wifi but no cable TV. Our satellite and Motosat worked fine here. Do your laundry before you arrive or save for another day. There is a laundramat in town ( 20 miles) as well as a great supemarket. Wildlife viewing right from your windows. Have you ever seen a deer swim? Bring your Deet for your outdoor viewings. There are adequate, though not great, places to walk your pet. Total relaxation. We will return.
A very clean, new park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have lists of local businesses by exit numbers to assist you. Follow the directions on their web site and you will not have a problem finding this park.We have a 41 ft motorcoach and we were in a 60 ft. site that had an additional pad for toad. No shade as the trees are young but immaculately maintained throughout. There is grass on all the lots which has a somewhat cooling affect. The only down side is the laundry which is very well planned out, only has 5 washers and 5 dryers. If you hit it at the wrong time you may have to wait for a machine. The clubhouse is very nice, 2 pool tables and several game tables. The pool and shower areas are immaculate. There is also a computer room with several computers and wifi in the park. We will return.
This is our 4th visit, and as always, a solid 10. We have a 41 + ft motorcoach with 3 slides, datastorm for internet and TV, no problem with width or length or sites. The park is immaculate and the staff is A+. No cell phone but they will hook up a phone to your rig at no charge for local calls. We observed them taking campers to either the park or shuttle to the park. We were served ice cream 2 evenings at our site. This is a pet friendly and family friendly park. We will return. For those who have non-RV friends or family, they have cabins.
The ratings on this park range between 2 and 10 and I feel both ratings are fair depending on your rig. If your rig is over about 35' and your towing you might give a lower rating. This park is not big rig friendly with the very narrow concrete pads. You will scuff your tires trying to position on the pad. Just look at the pads, they are all black on the edges from scrubbing tires. We decided to park on and off the concrete pad (so we could leave the toad connected) which made leveling impossible. I feel for the owners of this park because they spent enough money to build a very nice park for all kinds of rigs. I was unable to connect to the water (another bad design) and use a pressure limiter on the hose.
Very nice surprise. The setting could not be better, as mentioned in prior posts. Truly Big Rig friendly. This park is what a "10" park should look like. The well water is safe ,but does have an odor which comes and goes. I do think the owner is working with city engineers and will fix that problem. Spent a quiet relaxing week here.
Very friendly staff. There are many great places to walk your pet. Several sites on the river. Pull thrus for your big rig. Our cell phone didn't work but pay phone available at the office. Free WiFi available.
This park is a very easy 10. It is also a class A restricted park. The staff is first rate and the park is very nicely maintained. The club house has the best deck that I have ever seen (with hot tub) which looks up the San Juan river. Each lot has a storage building with a long overhang for shade with table and chairs. The only draw back is the price which keeps the park about 2/3 vacant. We paid $75 a night on the river, which is about half the sites. Very big rig friendly.
Newer clean park with 9 holes of golf. The site that they gave me on the phone had a nice view of the 1st fairway, based on that I booked one week. When I got there they told me they only use that site for someone who wants to rent a travel trailer from them. They keep a little "FEMA" type trailer on that site and try to rent it. Ok, the park is better than the management, however I won't return.
Open spacious lots with grass, large pads, picnic tables and nice landscaping. Truly Big Rig friendly. There are 2 pens to allow pets off leash, they are not huge and they are sand, not grass. There is a $5.00 a year charge for WiFi. When will they learn to just include it in price of the site? $41 a little pricey but it includes continental breakfast and newspaper each day. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offered to make our reservation for our next stop. Laundry was $1.25 to both wash and dry. Some sites get freeway noise though we did not find it annoying.
Still a beautiful place to stay. The facilities are top notch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price we paid was a weekly rate. The WiFi did not reach our site but is available (free) at the closer-in sites, laundry room, and clubhouse. There is extensive cable tv. Washer and dryer both a $1.00 each. The sites are large and some have a golf course view. There are water aerobics classes every morning at the pool. They offer a discount for golf. There are interesting areas for the dogs to walk. You are allowed to wash your coach at your site when you first get there. A "Luxury Park" at a reasonable price. Close to the big city but a rural feel.
The trees make it very difficult to park a big rig. Just looking at the damage to the trees you can imagine the thousands of dollars worth of damage that has been done to big rigs. We were able to keep our tow vehicle attached to our big rig but just barely cleared the road. We were just passing through. There is a $2.00 charge for the WiFi. We had to find a table at another site to receive it. There was one channel of TV. The owner is very nice. There is a pool that the children seemed to really enjoy. It is a very clean park.
We enjoyed the park and our dog would have given it a 10. They have a great walking area where you can let your animals off lead if they are well behaved!! It was great. The park was immaculate and the owner has a great attitude. This is a pride of ownership park. There is a charge for the WiFi and there were about 5 channels on the cable TV. He offers fuel discount coupons. A great Canadian campground. Would prefer if the park just added price of WiFi into the nightly rate!!! We were able to keep our tow vehicle hooked up to our big rig at the site.
This is a well maintained park with free WiFi. There are only 4 sites with sewer hook ups but there is a dump station. There is a swimming lake adjacent to the property. There is no cable tv available but a nice clean setting. We were able to keep our tow vehicle attached to our big rig on our overnight stay. I would give this park a 10 if it had sewer at every site and cable tv, thus the grade. I did not use the showers or laundry.
The wife and I disagree. She likes it more than I . I would give it a very low ranking and she would give it credit for Internet. WiFi is good at our site though we were told we should go to the laundry to get it, (which she did) if it is available, it is supposed to be iffy. There are several dogs running loose so we are not comfortable having our dog outside (supervised ) on a leash. "Beater Rigs" all over the place. The cable TV is poor, sound good, picture shot. We were there for overnight and were able to keep our tow vehicle hooked up on our big rig. The feeling is the park is not being maintained. Compared to other parks reviewed on this internet site, for this town, this was first choice on our list however, there were not a lot of choices in this town.
Rate reflects Canadian Dollar Price and includes a $5 charge for Wi-Fi and tax at Good Sams discount. The Wi-Fi is an open signal but I was honest when I checked in and requested a site with a good signal thus the $5 charge. The Cable TV is fair, not a great number of channels but better than most Canadian Campgrounds and included ABC & CBS (US). There is no on site sewer so during busy times you will have to wait your turn to dump. There is a wash area $2 for 2 minutes. There is also a restaurant with friendly service. Great for big rigs as sites are super long and if you have a big rig you can keep your tow vehicle attached if you are just stopping for the night. I did not use the laundry but quoted price is $2.50 for washer and dryers. There is a charge for showers.
Listed as Sutton in Trailer Life. Actually farther north. Milepost 109.7 on Glenn Hwy. it is 79 miles south of Glennallen. All sites are long pull through sites. You can leave your tow attached to your big rig if you are just passing through. The WiFi is free and strong and there is cable TV. It is near the Matanuska Glacier. There is a cute restaurant with specials for campers. The view is beautiful and the price is right for full services, price quoted is for 50 amp,30 amp is slightly less. There is an area for walking your pooch.
For Alaska this is a 10. First class staff and facilities. The sites are wide and long. Truly Big Rig Friendly. Cable TV & WiFi that actually reaches your site. They even allow you to wash your coach at your site!!!The only negative there are only 4 washers & dryers $2.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry 45 min. However, I was the only one there so there was no problem. This park fills up so make your reservations. We would come back, and there seems to be a positive attitude about the park from the other campers.
This park is NOT BIG RIG friendly as advertized. However, it is big rig possible. You can barely put out your slides and no one has enough space to deploy awnings, not even the small window awnings. I felt like I was in a middle seat between 2 fat folks. The WiFi is weak if not impossible at sites however it is available in lodge and pavilion at no charge and it is fast. The setting for this park is beautiful and if you are in a smaller rig or a big rig with no slide rooms you will probably enjoy this park. There is beach access a short distance away and there are benches and tables to enjoy the view. Laundry was clean and $1.50 for both wash and dry. Cable TV was good and included many channels. Not all sites have 50 amp service. The larger sites seemed to only have 30 amp service.
We originally booked 3 nights and had to extend to 17 nights due to a medical emergency. The staff (Dawn) was superb. They were able to book me into my site for as long as necessary and offered to move the RV for me if they needed the site for a scheduled caravan.(Wife does not drive, Husband in hospital). The Wifi, though it had to be rebotted several times a week was strong and free. The cable TV was good. The laundry was adequate though it would get crowded. $1.75 to wash $1.00 to dry (30 min.) There are great places to walk pets and they have a service station (with diesel) with the best gas / diesel prices around. Also a convinience and liquor store. 10 Minutes to Fairbanks. The campground was in good condition and a very helpful staff.
The entire campground was in disrepair. There was broken glass all over our site. There was sewage overflow on the ground that had not been attended to.Not all sites have full hookups. We were able to get one channel on TV. There was no Internet. Denali RV up the road has both Internet and Cable and that appears to be where the caravans. The staff at the resort was less than mediocre. There were few good places to walk a pet.
Great stop for overnight if you cannot decide if you want to push through from Reno to Las Vegas or Pahrump. Easy-in Easy-out. Most sites are pull throughs. Price is right at $15 full services including cable TV. Satellite friendly. Big rig friendly. We can keep our tow hooked up on our 40+ coach and Vue tow. No problems for pets. Have stayed there several times in past 2 years and consistant experience every time.
From the first greeting to the last good-bye what a great experience!!! The owner thanks you for coming and appreciates comments. Their Wifi is free and strong. The park is immaculate. The views are wonderful. Plenty of places to walk your pet or walk your spouse. There is a Koi Pond, boat dock, and gardens. We will return. Don't miss Mt. Rainier State Park as a day trip.
Beautiful treed park. They had free Wifi and also were knowledgable about satellite sites. The laundry room was clean and moderatley priced. There are plenty of nice places to walk your pets. They have you sign a contract upon arrival acknowledging rules and regulations.
Nice grassy sites. Strict pet rules enforced. Wifi was $5 a day and sometimes was not available. Washing, wiping or waxing of vehicles is prohibited. However, there is a RV wash across the street. Easy walk to town. For AK this is a great park.
They state it is gravel when it really dirt. Friendly service. 20/30 amp service. You cannot wash your vehicles in your site. There is a site to wash vehicles on the property which makes some of the sites muddy. Good for overnight stay.
Very nice park on two levels. The lower level lots of mature trees and is an easy 8. The upper level is newer, smaller trees, but very nice landscaping and the wide paved roads, work for the big rigs. This level is an easy 10. I gave the park an 8 over all for these reasons. If your only staying 4 or 5 nights this park is a very poor value. Eight lanes of I-15 doing eighty close to park. They don't enforce their own rules regarding aggressive dogs on property. One week is $416 and the RV lot was to short to park my toad close by. The poor value may just be a California left coast thing. I will return anyway.
Money was no object when building this park! A great family resort. If you don't care for kids go during the week when school is in session. Only drawback to this park is all the green and the irrigation system required to keep it green. Your coach will get wet on some lots. I would guess this to be one of the top 5 parks in the country.
Yes, this is an older park and yes the spaces are just average. Wow, what a nice view if you get one of the river front sites. That was our highlight for this trip. We will be back! If, you want to get cleaned up and spend some money, one of the best restaurants in the country is in the lodge next door. The staff was excellent!
