We camped here over the new year's holiday and it wasn't that busy. We had some rain & some gorgeous sun but this place was pretty wet nonetheless. The location cannot be beat as it is directly across from the beach and Mendo & Fort Bragg are both a few miles away. I would agree that this place is not for big rigs as the spots are really tight. We have a 27ft Class C with no slides, but no one was on either side of us so it was great. All utilities worked great, including Wi-Fi, but cell service was very spotty. I would definitely come back here in the fall/winter/spring but in summer I bet it is too crowded.

Nightly rate includes $1 nightly dog fee & $8 admin fee. This is a great campground with full lake views. You can view Osprey diving for fish and Canada Geese floating by. Very clean & quiet but not a lot of shade although we didn't need it with the crappy weather we had in early June. No cable TV or wi-fi so the Aircard really came in handy and worked fine. Ashland is not dog friendly, but Emigrant Lake is thank goodness. We were here for 9 nights, and I would come back again, but disappointed that there were no recycling bins. Ashland is so 'green' so we assumed a nearby campground would be too. Also, the closest laundry facilities are in downtown Ashland.

For an RV park right off I-5, this is a terrific place. Level, concrete pads with shade trees, full 50 amp hookups, small pool, nice staff, clean laundry facilities and even recycling bins. They have decent wi-fi, but our Verizon Aircard worked great. It was quiet & clean and well landscaped. We were here for 5 days over Memorial Day weekend, and will definitely stop here again.

Our nightly rate reflects an off-season monthly discount as we stayed here for almost 2 months while we sold our house. It was a great place to stay, although they were remodeling the pool area. They finished right when we were leaving, & it is quite nice - a large heated pool with a jacuzzi. We were in a shady area, not paved, but level and quiet and never any loud campers around us. The petting zoo & peacocks are simply charming, and I never smelled any foul barnyard odors during the spring months we were there. We do not have kids, but it is very kid friendly, & the weekends can get loud with the screams of kids playing in the pool & jumping pillow. We will stay there again for sure.
