We stayed here 2 nights in a Class A pulling a large enclosed trailer. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with this long combination. The park is huge and has basic amenities. It is extremely convenient for the twice yearly Open Road Races held here as it is directly across the street from Rooney Park. we elected to stay here because it was SO much quieter than the other RV parks in town along I-10.

Nice clean park with wonderful staff. They went out of the way to accommodate us in a rig that was 65ft long. The spaces were average width for a commercial park meaning you are pretty close to your neighbor.

Bigger park than most state parks in Texas. Very spread out and if you are in one of the outer loops it is a LONG walk to the Marina or Penn Farm. Penn Farm is an original farm homestead within the park boundaries with many remaining buildings. As a whole the park was nice and reasonably maintained. Some of the sites were unlevel and there was a high percentage (to us) of people disregarding the rules as far as speed limit, number of vehicles at a site and quiet time. I would venture a guess this park might be just a bit on the rowdy side when warm weather gets here and the boating crowd takes over. It is a GREAT ESCAPE if you are just looking for something close to the Metroplex. It is only 5 mile south of I20.

Nice folks and a decent place. The pull throughs were all taken by fifth wheels and we had some amount of trouble backing our 33 ft coach into one of the other spaces. The sites are rather close and facilities are just a little run down. Some nice hiking trails

What a nice place to stay for several days! The staff went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. The park was clean, the facilities were clean and in good repair. Probably the cleanest bathrooms and showers we have ever seen! We enjoyed the seclusion and the space. The sites are well laid out and uncrowded and the park covers quite an area. The pool (closed when we were there for the winter) is quite a piece of 1930's architecture.
