We had a wonderful time. Most of the sites had tree cover and the bugs weren't too bad. Some of the roads are tight to maneuver in a large rig. Sites are level and have adequate privacy. Some sites that are pull-thru sites will require you to go the wrong way in the loop to allow your shore power connection to be on the same side as the power/water pole. We will return as this is a very convenient park to Tybee Island.
We camped with a group to bring in the new year. The pull-thru sites are tight in Loop #5 as we had to back out when leaving. Any one in less than a 30' should be fine. We never saw the Host, new crush and run needs to be added to the sites in this loop since the pads hold water very well when it rains, but it is very peaceful. The campground lost water for approx 4 hours so lesson learned was to partially fill the fresh water tank upon arrival. The dump station situation needs to be addressed concerning ingress and egress for the opposing lanes. We will return in the Spring and attempt to get Loop #2 since those have been updated.
